Good Idea from an unknown woman.

May 30, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 9:19 AM

This was sent to me by my brother … it is a great idea. Its time we start supporting the USA. Never doubt you have a voice … sometimes its counted in dollar bills. You can bet if the companies who manufacture out of the country drop in sales because there is a nationwide slowdown on imports … they will bring their factories and jobs back.

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else and perhaps even their job. So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track. Let’s get behind her!!

My grandson likes Hershey’s candy. It is marked made in Mexico now. So I do not buy it any more. My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico now. I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything.

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled, “Everyday Value.” I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats – they were the same except for the price. The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in – get ready for this – the USA by a company in Cleveland, Ohio .

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here.

So on to another aisle – Bounce Dryer Sheets…. yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!

So my challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA – the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from China or Mexico………..

(We should have awakened a decade ago…….)

Let’s get with the program…. help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the U.S.A.

Bill O’Reilly Getting Stupid in his Old Age

May 28, 2009
Posted by Economics9698 @ 11:01 AM

Open letter to Bill OReilly:

oreillyIt seems these days there is a strong correlation between graduating an Ivy League school and stupidity. Bill O’Reilly, Harvard graduate, appears to be the latest idiot spawned from these reportedly institutions of higher learning. I mean what the hell with Bush, Obama, Sotomayor, Al Gore and other assorted idiots who cannot think enough to get themselves out of a cardboard box with a box cuter. Why Bill O’Reilly? His comments on Supreme Court Nominee Sotomayor.

Oh god Bill yea she’s a closet conservative because she opposed federal funds for abortion and she’s okay according to Bill logic. Okay Bill for a supposed street thug back in the day you sure are coming off as some stupid city slicker to the rest of us. Here’s the down and dirty for the white folks who grew up with decent parents in the nice lily white suburbs like Bill O’Reilly.

Barack Obama is a racist. How do I know this for a fact? All black people of that generation were taught from the time they were old enough to suck a tit that whitey was bad. Whitey had screwed the black man and whitey was going to pay some day. I was one of the few people to have witnessed this first hand as the races mixed in Pontiac, Michigan in the 1970’s. Anyone remember bombed busses? Irene McCabe? George Wallace? Well I do.

When desegregation happened all the white kids were told the black kids were equal and all the black kids were told to beat up whitey and get even. And that’s pretty much how it went down. We experienced race riots and an all out race war thanks to liberal pin head judges. What was before a normal majority lower income white slightly integrated city became a war zone and soon 73% black. What was once a decent place to live is a burned out crack zone. And from this racial intolerance Obama grew up and eventually adopted this hatred of white people.

How do I know? Oh maybe his book to quote “It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere … That’s the world! On which hope sits.”

Or was it the twenty years in a Black Liberation Theology church isn’t enough of a tip off? The racist spoiled pig Michelle Obama’s comments? The only associations Obama has with white folks are gays. Communist, fascist, socialist, terrorist and an occasional screwed up Jew. Is the pattern forming? Didn’t they teach the Fibonacci sequence at Harvard? Bill?

Obama hates white people. Everything he’s done as president has been or is designed to do two things.
1. Gain power for himself and his new fascist dictatorship.
2. Weaken the power of mostly white people but specifically the rich down to the middle class. This would be the top 50% of society that pays federal taxes.

Sotomayor is a Latino racist pig with a 95 IQ. If that. Maybe 90 IQ. Just like Obama she rode her skin color to where she is today. She hates white people and would rule on the Supreme Court cases based on race not the law. In other words dull boy Harvard educated Bill she’s an emotionally handicapped idiot that should be serving lunch in the public school cafeteria. Give me 100 average white guys and any test you want, a reasonable study time for the 100 average white guys and Sotomayor, and guaranteed 80% to 90% of these average white guys will score better than the Latina lunch chick. That’s the cold hard reality of it.

This Latina lunch woman chick is the problem with affirmative action. Why is this low IQ racist lady even a judge let alone seriously considered for the Supreme Court? This is insanity. Argue all you want to against Souter or Ginsburg they have the intellect to serve. This racist punk Latina bitch lunch lady doesn’t.

And then we get into the GOP is racist if they oppose the Latina racist blab bla bla. Hey Bill did you notice that fascist in the White House lately? You think the Republicans should really give a crap if they are called racist? Really? If I was a Republican, and I am not, I wouldn’t mind being called a racist. I mean what the hell difference does it make when my electric bill will be going up $2,000, my gas bill $1,500 and my purchases 25% with a value added tax. Some Latino just used the government as an instrument of plunder and they just plundered my wallet for $10,000 to support their life of idleness and breeding opportunities. Call me a racist.

Look Bill if you’re too stupid or old to see Hitler over there to the south of you consolidation power and getting his dictatorship in order please do Fox a favor and resign. Yea Bill that fascist thug in the White House really is out to screw up the United States and harm our people, especially white dudes like you. It’s the biggest story in your life time right under your nose and you choose to play some middle of the road milquetoast cutie city slicker cuddling up to the other milquetoast republicans and democrats.

Wise up dude. The chick is a racist and should be treated as such. Obama and his crew are fascist. Lead, follow or get out of the way.

Obama picks racist as Supreme Court Nominee

sonyaThe magic half Negro is showing his true colors to all us white folk. The racist president and his black theology church teachings are coming to fruition right before honky man eyes. Sonia Sotomayor is your typical minority pig who hates the white man but gobbles up all the white man goodies she can. She could live in Puerto Rico where she was born but seems to like hanging with all the liberal Jews and white guilt fold in the evil United States of America.

To those born after the nominee all the talk about America after 1968 being racist for young people is pure crap. The white liberal hippies kissed Negro and Hispanic gluteus maximus any way they could. If you were a white male you sucked unless you were homosexual or a rich liberal preferably Jew boy whose parents had a few million in the bank.
It was so bad in the late 70’s and early 80’s any and all government agencies were doing everything to block white men any way they could. In the military there were quotas for jobs. Scores for promotion were doctored to favor minorities. In college if you were white you might be told as I was at USF that “you the wrong color to get financial aid.” It’s such a joke to see Obama and this Sotomayor come out and complain about racism when any poor white dude who lived through it knows the opposite policies of virulent anti white man were in place.

Sometimes radio personality Michael Savage talks about it on his radio show. The only white guys who got around it were gays, Jew liberals with a lot of money and white guys with a lot of money who could do as they pleased. If you were poor and had to go into the military to get money for college you were pretty much screwed over. That’s the truth of it for those of us who lived through it.

So Sonia I don’t want to hear your stupid story about overcoming the white man. You’re an affirmative action 95 IQ slug just like the president. You played on white guilt to get where you’re at. I was there. I know you are a liar. So please shut the hell up. I don’t want to hear your crap.
In Detroit in the 1970’s there was this judge Crocker who would judge a case on race. If you were black you would go free. That was it. And that is what Sotomayor is. If you white or god forgive a member of a corporation she will rule against you.

White people better start thinking in terms of color and their race because as Obama proved today he sure the hell is. Obama hates white people and looks at them as a meal ticket for himself and his other people of color. If you don’t want to be a financial slave for minorities you better come to terms with this reality. What are the consequences if you don’t?

Take a look at Mexico and Africa. That’s where these minorities are taking us. If that life style is not to your liking then wake up and take matters into your own hands. Support politicians who fight for states rights and succession movements. America will fall apart as surly as the USSR did. The only constant about diversity is it always leads to the break up of countries. No need to delude or deny it. Vote for politicians who are prepared to make the break from the United States when that time comes.

Is Barack Obama playing with a full deck?

May 26, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 10:39 AM

One needs to apply some common sense in watching this President in the now past 100 days of service to this country.

I read something put forward by Joseph Farah this morning and I stopped to think. Does any of this honestly make sense to you?

  • If you held a job and people were questioning your qualifications, and all you had to do to put an end to those questions, not to mention more than a dozen lawsuits filed against you, was to produce a valid birth certificate you claimed to possess, would you refuse to take that simple step? Or would you, as Obama has done, spend at least $1 million to fight the lawsuits? I think most people would agree that someone who chose the latter is either crazy or doesn’t have a valid birth certificate.
  • Let’s say you got a job in which you succeeded someone with whom you disagreed passionately.Would you try to have that person prosecuted over those differences, knowing that some day, someone with whom you disagree would succeed you and possibly contemplate the same course of action? That’s what Obama talked about doing in the case of his disagreement with George W. Bush over the practice of coercive interrogations – policies, I might point out, that were employed not just by his immediate predecessor, but by every war-time president in the history of the United States.
  • Or what do you make of Obama’s efforts to ban the use of the words “terror” and “terrorism” from his administration’s lexicon? The administration prefers to call attacks on terrorists “overseas contingency operations.” And terrorist attacks at home are referred to as “man-caused disasters.” These new terms are apparently considered less offensive to terrorists.
  • While there are hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens voluntarily serving in arms overseas, the Obama administration put out a report to law enforcement agencies throughout the country to be wary of returning veterans, because they might be more inclined to get involved in “right-wing extremist” activities.
  • Obama presides – legitimately or illegitimately – over a nation founded on the ideals of “independence” and “national sovereignty.” Yet, in a speech given in Prague, what was his prescription for making the world a better place? “All nations must come together to build a stronger, global regime,” he said.
  • How about his solution to an economic crisis spurred by too much indebtedness? More debt.
  • Let’s say you’re the first black president. Do you appoint a black attorney general who indicts the people who just elected you as a “nation of cowards” on matters of race?
  • Imagine appointing to a top policy position at the Defense Department, a columnist from the Los Angeles Times who believes U.S. policies were to blame for the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaida. That would be Rosa Brooks, who also previously referred to Obama’s immediate predecessor as “our torturer in chief ” and a “psychotic who need(s) treatment” while comparing Bush’s arguments for waging a war on terrorism to Adolf Hitler’s use of political propaganda.

Personally I continue to waver between:
“Is this guy NUTS?”
“You have got to be kidding!”
and
“We are so screwed!”

War, Inflation and the Fall

       mussolini-pic       obama-pic1

The clueless communist educated commander in chief has led America on some magical trip these last 100+ days down a fantasy world of bail outs, corporate hostile take over’s, consolidation of power over financial institutions. All with astonishing speed. Then ramping up the war in Afghanistan. All this in a hundred days. adolf_hitler-1933-pic1This guy is making Hitler look like a slow dull boy. And the fantasy tour is not even close to being over with.

Soon we will see 16% of our GDP gobbled up by the government in the form of nationalized medicine. We will get a huge tax increase, cap and trade that will destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs. I predicted unemployment in the range of 10% to 12% if the half Negro dullard wasn’t stopped but apparently the ex coke fiend is gunning for more unemployment. Why I would guess he’s gunning for the all time presidential worst unemployment record of 17.2% held by none other than the democratic patron saint FDR.

And we all know what Roosevelt did to get America out of the Great depression? War. War the favorite goal of failed dictators the world over and throughout history. And where will this war come from?

mussolini-military-picAnyone hear that nuclear bomb go off in North Korea? Yea the Chinese puppet state is flexing a little muscle. I would guess the Chinese with their two or was that three trillion dollars of debt might just be maybe a little pissed off Uncle Sam is printing dollars like an African ghetto state. Printing money liken a bunch of uneducated ghetto punks with a counterfeiting printing press. So China looking at the prospects of losing trillions seems to be just a little pissed off these days.

And what will our half Negro leader do? Tell the Chinese to be nice? Oh yea I can see that and then the Chinese dumping a couple of trillion of US bonds on the world market making our currency worthless overnight. Should have thought of that a few billion bail out dollars ago. To late now, China has the US by the balls.

And Iran is flexing its military muscle. Coincidence? Iran another strategic alliance with guess who? China.

So Iran nukes Israel and Obama does what? Nothing but celebrates. To the 78% of Jews who support Obama and the Democratic Fascist Party with money and votes this is what you did now deal with=2 0it. You made your bed now lie in it. You can kiss Israel goodbye. As some compensation tell Israel to drop a few on Saudi Arabia, Syria and Iran before they go down into the pages of the history books. Soon Israel will be the last thing on Americas mind.

Will the US be drawn into war? With a weak idiot running the country and a fascist party full of fanatics what do you think? Hell yes. And in the end Obama will meet the same fate as Mussolini and Hitler. In the mean time America will be plundered and destroyed.

That nuke was the first shot of the new era of confrontation. A kindly reminder from the Chinese that it’s not nice to renege on your debts. A reminder that weakness and cowards brings war not peace. All these fascist thugs can do is screw up things.

fascist-flag-picObama needs to be impeached as soon as possible if we are to avoid inflation, war, destruction and the end of America as we know it. Plain and simple. Doesn’t matter how it’s done. Birth certificate, gross incompetence, some stupid law breaking, it doesn’t matter.

Some of us knew the fasci st bastard before the election and now the nation sees the direction the bastards is taking us. That’s all we need to know. Time for the congressmen and women, governors, senators and the people to stand up to the incompetent buffoon now and toss him out of office before someone gets killed and unemployment is 15%.

I am pleading with Texas Governor Perry and South Carolina Governor Sanford to start movements both in public and private to protect their states and the decent citizens of America from the lunatics in Washington. Please form an alliance of 30 states that will resist Washington and succeed if need be. This insanity has got to stop now while we still have time.

H.R.985 protects this presidents birthcertificate?

Posted by clinicalthinker @ 9:33 AM

Apparently the feigned transparency of this latest administration is about to get less transparent should this bill get passed.

Just another bill presented to cover someones ass. Perhaps a whole lot of asses.

The people this bill is designed to protect are the ones that the PUBLIC who is in a sense hiring HAS EVERY RIGHT TO SEE THEIR CREDENTIALS.

See how far you get in refusing to WILLINGLY provide that data to a would be employer.

Just more whats good for the goose is NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER … policy the government wants to foist on THEIR EMPLOYERS.

Are you buying this?

Another point of view:
The US Congress titles a bill that would protect Barack Obama, FactCheck.org, Joe Biden and the Media as well as Hawaii State Officials from ever having to produce the actual documents and from ever being prosecuted for presenting fraudulent documents the “Free Flow Of Information Act” yet it would do anything but provide for the free flow of information. In fact this Bill does everything to protect those who lie, forge documents and use the media and the Internet to perpetrate their frauds on the American people which Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi continue to do.

Rock and a hard spot?

As time wears on politics in Washington is starting to resemble a C grade horror film with a funny twist. Maybe I am just getting bored with the lunacy of it all and am just beginning to see an ironic humor in the whole mess.

I find myself laughing out loud with this Pelosi CIAgate matter. President Obama finds himself stuck in the middle of Leon Panetta the man he APPOINTED to head up the CIA and the LYING DEMOCRATIC DARLING who heads up the House. It is clear our latest leader has extremely bad judgment and luck where administrative staff is concerned. We are about to see if he lacks guts also.

It’s pretty hard for the President to blow off or ignore the gravity of what is going on under his nose.

So who is going to get the BOOT?

Common sense says Panetta and the CIA are the most valuable since they are really in charge of keeping the citizenry of the nation safe.

Getting rid of a BAG of wind and her broom seems the most viable solution.
Time will tell.

“I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable.”

“I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable.”
These words from Barack Obama just yesterday in the speech he gave standing in front of the Constitution?
I find that a little ironic don’t you?

The President of HOPE and TRANSPARENCY?

I find myself wondering if that is the case WHY is he still hiding all of his personal records from those seeking to see them?
Why would someone OPT to simply pay millions in attorney fees to keep this information a secret.
So which is it?
The truth on these issues is comfortable and he just LOVES paying lawyers?
Or he is a LIAR and thinks we in the USA are totally stupid enough to NOT PUT THAT 2 AND 2 TOGETHER?

Glenn Beck skewered on The View

May 21, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 18:00 PM

I have been very busy for the past couple of weeks and its been hard to keep up with the whiplash events we as citizens face daily from Washington much less care about the TRIVIA from the babes on The View.

It has been peaceful to say the least.

When I talked to my cousin last night late I was told of the antics on THE VIEW concerning Glenn Beck. That started my own research this morning. I finally found the segment on youtube.

Apparently THE GIRLS did not appreciate a small dose of what they put out in heaps daily (thus being mimicked as shrews) in public. To bad Joy Bahar was not involved in this particular incident since she deserves “mimic retaliation” more than most.
You might want to notice in particular Joy’s question about how/why Glenn cry’s (pulling a hair in his nose?) periodically. Which makes understandable his answer to Barbara Walters in the next piece as he responds to her question and comment about his crying.

Barbara’s last comment (as melodramatic as Barbara can be) was “I just want to know what your true convictions are?” “I just haven’t learned that much from you.” … gee maybe if they let him talk more than a minute out of close to 15 might do the trick?

Maybe since Barbara IS SUPPOSE TO BE the prime interview primadonna in the USA she should perhaps do the research she expected from Beck? You know that what’s good for the gander is good for the “prime goose”? Anyone taking at least 1/2 hour watching Beck (who wears his heart on his sleeve) immediately know what his true convictions are … the truth of the matter IS she does not give a flying flip what he thinks or his convictions are … she was just pissed at being portrayed as witch Heckety before millions of radio fans.

Lindsey Graham Proves Republicans are FUBAR

May 19, 2009
Posted by Economics9698 @ 16:45 PM

lindsay-grahamRepublican stupidity was on display at the South Carolina convention May 16th. Senator Graham insulted the most vibrant part of the Republicans Party and one of the few bright spots last election cycle. Graham stated “Ron Paul is not the leader of the Republican party.” A direct repudiation of the Libertarian part of the party. The only market share growth in the Republican Party this last decade. Wow what a way to piss off the base.

There was heckling and back and forth banter between Ron Paul supporters and Graham as can be seen on the video. The main gist of Grahams argument was that Republicans needed to be centering right or as most people would classify them as Democrat Light.

Earth to Senator Graham, Bush was a compassionate conservative and John McCain was as center as you can be. The fascist are in control of the federal government and we don’t need “milquetoast conservatism” out there fighting these folks. The only two people I would consider suitable for the GOP would be Ron Paul at the top and Sarah Palin on the bottom. Why Paul? His supporters are the only ones vicious enough to effectively deal with the ACORN fascist on the other side that have no respect for the law or anything else. Graham and his crap philosophy has come and gone. The time to be nice ended in 2000 after the Gore/Bush election.

Message to Senator Graham, we did it your way in 2008. Remember? Democrats used ACORN and unions combined with millions in illegal donation, corrupt judges, election supervisors and propaganda to clean you clock and whip the hall of congress clean of your weak ass philosophical bull junk. You led the troops and the result was a disaster. Now get the hell out of the way.
Republicans hate Libertarians and look down on them. I know it. Graham knows it, Beck, Hannity, Rush and the rest know it. We believe in legalized drugs, fair tax, freedom and liberty. Criticize us all you want for being loony tunes but if you examine the founding fathers and the issues of today we win all relevant arguments.

Drugs. Why legalize them? $30,000 per prisoner. Law enforcement abuses. Billions down a never ending rat hole. Why not spend say 20% of the cost of drug enforcement on children’s education, treatment and hospitalization for addicts. A whole lot cheaper and a whole lot less violence. A no brainer but only if you examine all the facts.

Education. No child left behind. Yea right. Billions to special interest and did McCain get the teacher union vote? I don’t think so. And yet our public schools still fail. School vouchers and complete freedom for parents is the answers not more crap from the Republicans arguing they can piss away money better than Democrats.

Libertarians understand these stark differences between themselves and fuzzy headed politicians like Senator Graham. The average voter has to be presented with these stark differences. Wishy-washy politicians like Graham will get the Republicans a ticket to extinction. Independents are independent because they hate both parties. It’s a huge dissatisfaction with Graham, Pelosi, Bush, Obama and the rest. Graham is part of the problem and he needs to get out of the way.

And what of the argument the GOP needs to win senate seats in Pennsylvania? Says who? How about a few more congressional seats in Western Pennsylvania first? Why does John Murtha keep getting re-elected? The GOP can’t defeat a nut case in a republican leaning district? Seems as though the GOP has their priorities all screwed up. Oh let’s alienate the biggest part of our base so we can pick up that Pennsylvania senate seat. No that’s the incorrect strategy Senator Graham. You stick to your party principals and pick up the congressional seats. Understand?

Finally the Republicans I have seen lack the intensity and will to fight fascist on their terms. This next presidential election will need a candidate that will inspire millions of young people to confront the corrupt judges, election officials, ACORN, unions and the fascist apparatus. Foreign campaign donations will need to be exposed to the press by any means necessary. A lot of eggs will need to be crushed and broken if the Republicans are to compete with the democrats. That’s just a fact. Hide the dirty work as much as you can but the dirty work will need to be done.

Ron Paul was the only candidate with the right domestic vision and dedicated workers willing to do what it took to get the job done. Sarah Palin has good instincts but sadly has not developed her economic knowledge to the level where she would make a good president. If she concentrates on bringing that knowledge up on par with Paul I would have no problem supporting her. In a debate between the two on economic issues Paul would run circles around her as he regularly does to his comrades on Capitol Hill. Palin is more realistic on foreign policy and that’s her weakness. I disagree with Paul on foreign policy but at least he has a clear vision of what he wants to do.

So to Lindsey Graham and the other lily livered weak ass Republicans get the hell out of the way. The fascist are in Washington in case you missed the memo and they are not going to relinquish power just because you win the elections. Get ready to fight and nominate the only candidate you have left with any credibility, Ron Paul. If you don’t like the sight of political carnage then stay at home and shut up.

Pelosi on the ropes will she have the class to resign?

May 18, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 19:32 PM

As the days go on things seem to get worse for San Fran Nan. Will she have the class to resign on her own?
THAT IS A RESOUNDING NO!
Will she be shoved in disgrace out of her position by her own party?
According to some … could be and as far as much of the country is concerned it could not happen to a better person.
I have to say if this does occur I will be the first to give applause to the Democrats who have the guts to admit she was a mistake in the first place.

I found what Dick Morris had to say about the issue interesting to say the least.
My oh my what kind of stuff does the CIA have on her aside from she is a LIAR that they could kick to the forefront to the media. Since things are getting a little stale it would give the media who is starting to die on the vine new chum for a feeding frenzy.

Obama’s Magic Bubble Deflator

[An audio version of this article, read by the author, is available as a free MP3 download.]

woodsIn case you’ve ever wondered what it must have been like to read Pravda, reading the American media’s treatment of the financial crisis and our wise leaders’ expert management of it all has given everyone a wonderful opportunity. For instance, check out this piece from several days ago on Politico.
If you can’t bring yourself to click on the link, I’ll give you the headline: “Obama Would Regulate New ‘Bubbles.’”

Yes, you read that right. “Bubbles” just occur spontaneously. They have no cause or explanation. We need government to identify and destroy them.

Sometimes I wish our overlords would get their stories straight. First, Alan Greenspan — whom the New York Times once described, in its typical toadying, totalitarian fashion, as “the infallible maestro of our financial system” — told us it was impossible to tell if a bubble existed at any given time. Now we have Barack Obama insisting that not only can we detect bubbles, but we can also deflate them with sufficient dispatch to prevent them from causing any serious economic disturbances.

The rest of the story …

The face of a LIE?

Posted by clinicalthinker @ 9:09 AM

nancy-pelosi-scaryI would imagine anyone watching the painful grilling of Nancy Pelosi by the news corp could clearly see this woman had painted herself into a corner. Apparently with no viable exit strategy other than continue to LIE LIE LIE.

I have to ask do you think she went to a “special political school” to learn this?

Is there some special curriculum that teaches:
LIE when you think it furthers your cause?
WHINE and blame others when you get caught?

She exemplifies the mindset of MANY POLITICIANS TODAY.

Why does this seem to be a common thread in so many politicians? For those who do not lie?
Wouldn’t you respect them more if they stepped up to the plate in their own party and POINTED IT OUT? Don’t you think it lacks a little luster when they ONLY leap on a soapbox to focus on the opposition?

What part does the media play in all of this rampant lie, cheat and steal scenario?

Bush the Chimp and now Obama’s Turn

May 14, 2009
Posted by Economics9698 @ 12:14 PM

bush_monkey3Something that’s been bothering me since Obama has gotten elected besides the fact that he’s an emotionally handicapped communist nut case that is. Yea that something is political correctness. Obama is a great political reader of the teleprompter maybe the best there ever was. Most of the time his body movements and gestures are fluid and graceful like Manute Bol on steroids and ecstasy. Still for all his grace his tall skinny frame makes him look awkward. And with Michelle next to him they look like a couple from the past, 1968 to be exact.

I had a conversation with my mother about this resemblance and she was aghast with horror. She said I was a racist for saying such a thing which is par for most liberals when they hear an inconvenient truth with a racial aspect to it. I reminded her that people made the same EXACT comparison with former President Bush. Of course that comparison was comparing George Bush to a chimpanzee.

Who can forget the 5,253,114 hits Bill Feldspar got on his web site showing side by side pictures of Bush and chimpanzees. Or Dr. Michael I. Niman showing a picture of a chimp and stating that the chimp would be a better president than George Bush. And the entire photo shopped photos depicting Bush as part chimpanzee. And even DougUK superimposing Bush’s face on a chimp. Yea all that was fine because Bush was a white male who believed in Jesus. Not a problem for the fascist on the left. My dear mother even gave me some refrigerator magnets depicting Bush as half man half chimp.

bush-chimp

After my mother scolded me about being a racist I pointed out the double standard and like most liberals she was somewhat confused and had no rational explanation. Finally realizing the impossibility of her position said it was wrong no matter what. Hmmm didn’t hear any racist cries coming from her or any liberals when Bush was compared to a chimp. So in the interest of fair play I want to get this off my chest and not be a coward when it comes to race relations as Attorney General Eric Holder has recommended. I will follow our affirmative action United States Attorney Generals advice and not be a coward in expressing my views on race. I strongly feel if this treatment was good enough for the white guy its good enough for the half Negro guy.

cornilius-picobama-pic

First thing about Obama is he reminds me of Cornelius in the 1968 version of Planet of the Apes. For those who don’t remember or haven’t seen the movie Dr. Cornelius was the doctor studying the humans with his companion Dr. Zira. They were the equivalent of wimpy liberals today. Cornelius showed some stubbornness as are most males and had to be prodded into accepting that humans were intelligent animals by Zira.

“Look Cornelius Bright Eyes is trying to say something.”

“Don’t be ridiculous humans cant speak”

“But look he IS trying to communicate.”

cornelius-zira

And so the movie went. A bunch of stupid apes chasing down the more intelligent humans, capturing them and enslaving the poor creatures for the rest of their natural existence.

planet-of-the-apes-pictureSo much reminds me of the Marxist in the White House today chasing down all the wealth creators, capturing them and enslaving the survivors into perpetual purgatory. Weeding out the strong ones that can do the labor for the ruling class and killing off the smaller weak ones. The movie fits the reality we are living today. Sorry if that’s politically incorrect but that’s what I am thinking Mr. Attorney General Holder. The stupid apes are in charge of the White House and the head chimp just keeps reading that teleprompter until all the humans are in cages and under control.

Now I will not say Obama is dumber than a chimp or a chimp in the White House would be better like liberal jerk said about Bush. And I really don’t want to compare Michelle Obama to Dr. Zira in the movie. No they are totally different beast. Dr. Zira was intelligent and compassionate. Qualities Michele lacks and has displayed to the nation on several occasions. No Michelle is more like a spoiled indulgent brat that is throwing a temper tantrum against all the white folks who scored higher on test and look more beautiful than herself. Now that her man is in power she’s going to make all those nasty evil white folks pay the price for her shortcomings. Using Marxism to justify her actions of course as any good totalitarian asshole does. Got to hide your own shortcomings somehow right Michele?

zira-pic

Michele was recently bragging about poetry reading in the White House opps “people’s house.” Poetry reading? The people’s house? WTF Michelle. We know you hate strait white folks so just do as Attorney General Eric holder suggest and don’t be a coward. You can tell us white folk you hate our guts. We can take it. Not a problem.

Also Michelle your not stoned on pot and 19 anymore. What I would guess you’re in your 40’s and have children right? Do the words Amy Carter ring a bell? There a reason 40 somethings act 40 something Michele. You would be wise to do the same.

No I don’t really want to dig too bad on the spouse of the president. But I know what the lady is thinking. Another emotionally handicapped Marxist thug wanna be.

And so let the discussion begin. I hope Mr. Attorney General Eric Holder is proud of me. I let it out Mr. Holder. Please don’t call me a coward. Be careful what you wish for Mr. Holder it might come true.

shuster

I started to NOTICE the shift when Bill Clinton got hammered with MonicaGate. When everything really hit the fan in that incident I realized why my innate instinct about the man as being a number one sleazebag piece of pond scum was more than an innate instinct but in fact true.

I further noticed that the left did not give a fig about the fact that the leader of our country stood in front of the public and claimed “I NEVER HAD SEX WITH THAT WOMAN” … had the “little black dress” never surfaced we would no doubt be arguing the point to this day. An Monica would have been trashed by Clinton and the media just like Flower had already been.

Personally I did not care if Clinton had sex with the goat down the road but what I did care about was the man felt it was okay to blatantly lie to the mass. What I further cared about was the pass given for those who loved his political agenda. “Oh whatever he does is okay as long as we get our way.” The next thing I noticed was the liberals that I was fighting side by side with … for stopping the crosscutting of old growth forest sported this same hypocrisy. Then when Bush began his run for office what was good for Clinton was not okay for Bush who they hated before his running shoes actually hit the ground.

Since my tolerance level for hypocrites and inequality is less than zero … I pulled my organization out of the fight and let their group die a fast death. It did.

During the past 8 years I began to notice how the media which was clearly left viciously attacked anyone they thought sneezed wrong. When the weapons of mass destruction “lies” started to be bandied … my reaction was HEY WHAT’S THE PROBLEM? what’s good for the goose is good for the gander right?

Apparently not.
HYPOCRISY FRONT AND CENTER!

With this ever increasing bad behavior being directed at Republicans while Democrats were being given a pass I found myself wondering … hey wait a gosh darn minute here. Are you going to let them get away with this without defending yourselves?

Well they did and now we see the result of that failure.

Fast forward to now … today.
Where did MSNBC dredge up this piece of S*** David Shuster?
If those targeted will not stand up for themselves … let me help.
I have no qualms about calling a spade a spade on the exact same level as anyone throwing the first stone.
No wonder MSNBC has hit the rating skids as anyone with an ounce of common sense is scampering to ANY OTHER network like cockroaches when someone flicks on a light.

So Shuster thinks Carrie Prejean is not free to speak her mind because it is contrary to his opinion?
Tit for Tat … I don’t think he should have the freedom to counter her opinion on national TV.
So applying the what is good for the goose is good for the gander technique how is the situation remedied?
We the people do not write MSNBC about this jerkwater. You pay attention to those who sponsor his show and write them. Amazing how far a simple “I will no longer purchase your product as long as you sponsor the David Shuster show” will go. Sponsors are quickly yanked back into line when their bottom line profits are threatened.

So in truth “we the people” actually have more power if we choose to use it.

You decide.

Never-Ending Government Lies About Markets

crossedfingersThe purpose of government is for those who run it to plunder those who do not. Throughout history, governments have used violence, intimidation, coercion, and mass murder to enforce this system. But governments’ first line of “defense” is always a blizzard of lies — about its own alleged benevolence, altruism, heroism, and greatness, along with equally big lies about the “evils” of the civil society, especially the free market.

The current economic crisis, which was instigated by the government’s central bank and its boom-and-bust monetary policies, among other interventions, has once again been blamed on “too little regulation” and too much freedom.

Will Americans ever catch on to this biggest of all of government’s Big Lies?

Liberal Taliban issues fatwa against Miss California

coulter_shooting_gunWhen Coulter takes aim she ALWAYS hits her target right between the eyes.

Anyone who reads this blog much is probably getting the message.
I love Ann Coulter. She ALWAYS makes me laugh out loud.

Her opposition hates her for one reason.
SHE IS DEADLY RIGHT!
Worse she makes them laughing stocks. They have one defense … foam at the mouth and call her names.

Personally as you all know I think what is good for the goose is good for the gander. They can dish (and do viciously) it out? Well they better be willing to take it back in kind.

We the middle ground are tired of the unchecked stupidity being foisted our way by mostly ignorant ranting liberals. I learned long ago that these people are on the ropes when their assessment of a situation consists of denigration and name calling only.

The tactic is simple “let me TRY and drag them down to my level”.

Here is what Ann has to say on the subject of strong sexy women who can actually think on their own:

Not even Dick Cheney can incite the blood-curdling rage of liberals at the sight of a sexy evangelical Christian. Paula Jones, Katherine Harris, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin and, most recently, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, have all come under a frenzy of attacks from liberals.

Christians are supposed to be fat, balding sweaty little men with bad complexions. It’s liberals who are supposed to be the sexy ones. (I know that from watching “The West Wing” and all movies starring Julia Roberts.)

But sadly for liberals, in real life, the fat, balding sweaty little guy with the bad complexion is Perez Hilton and the smoking-hot babe is Carrie Prejean.

This apparent contradiction incites violent anger in liberals, triggering their famous “flight or flight” response. So liberals are, once again, launching furious attacks on a beautiful Christian in a fit of pique similar to the one directed at Joan of Arc.

First, the Miss USA contest held a press conference to announce that Prejean had breast implants. Take a Christian position in public and Satan’s handmaidens will turn all your secrets into front-page news.

Next, a photographer released a single cheesecake photo of Prejean. This prompted liberal reporters who have never met a Christian to proclaim that Christians were outraged by the photo. Liberals believe abortion is a sacrament, but smoking, wearing short skirts and modeling lingerie are mortal sins. (And if wearing women’s underwear is a basis for being disqualified from the pageant, that’s the end of Perez Hilton’s judging career.)

New Deal, RAW DEAL, Fact or Lie?

May 12, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 7:45 AM

While I was bouncing around the internet I happened onto an interesting article posted by an author who had written a book on the matter. (Book linked below.)

Since Barack Obama likes to pattern himself after FDR and the New Deal … it caught my attention. I could never understand why people would be happy with a 19% unemployment rate … at least happy enough to re-elect a president over and over.
Were they fed skewed facts?
I have often wondered if women (who were not usually bread winners back then) were counted into these statistics. If we took the % of woman out of that statistic does the percent then rise to 38%? Is that really what we can look forward to under the HOPE PRESIDENT?

Oh wait I know now HOPE means I HOPE none of this drops on my front door.

Hope then was suppose to be just past the horizon or around the next corner?
Sound anything like what passes the lips of Barack Obama almost daily?
Why am I getting the feeling Obama WILL SAY ANYTHING to keep the lid on this powder keg?

Notice this tactic at hand today?

Let’s use an analogy to make the point: Imagine that in the last days of his presidency, George W. Bush declared a new policy. His spokespeople explained, “It is rather misleading to say that the unemployment rate in October 2008 was 6.6 percent, because that implies millions of Americans are destitute. But in fact they are all receiving generous assistance from the government in various forms. If we say that their ‘job’ is filling out the paperwork for unemployment claims, then the true unemployment rate is more like 0.4 percent. Those are the people who truly have no source of income, and need to be helped.”

Would any left-liberal sign on to that rationale? Of course not. Now, there is no objectively hard and fast line between a “real” government-provided job versus a “phony” job such as “filling out unemployment forms.” In fact, a purist could note that all government jobs are artificial and not indicative of true productive value for consumers, since their compensation is derived through involuntary taxation.

States Beginning to Fight Fascists in Washington

May 11, 2009
Posted by Economics9698 @ 13:23 PM

secessionSome of the states are beginning to realize the severity of the threat from the Fascist in Washington DC. Most notably Texas with it’s declaration of sovereignty last April. Some states are sticking it Washington’s eye like Montana which passed gun legislation the exempts Montana gun manufactures and consumers from all federal gun legislation. Parts of Michigan, Pennsylvania and all of Missouri are crafting legislation that is opposed to the fascist march of the politicians in Washington. Some of the states realize the ruthlessness of the threat from Washington and the future instability and likelihood of war with the rest of the world.

As the blog below on this web site illustrates the increased foreign debt to 35% of the GDP to the rest of the world by the United States is extremely telling in the direction the politicians are taking America.

The fascist are busy arming themselves with the arsenal of tools needed to establish a dictatorship. Military loyalty would be the first tool. Nobody thinks Tiananmen Square can happen here in the United States but it could as more people realize the brutality of the regime in Washington.

The second is just as important to the fanatical authority ravenous despots in Washington and that is the ability to destroy the economy. To put it bluntly the power junkies in Washington are filling up the debt needle and sticking into the Americans people veins. The needle is in the patients arm and the thugs are about to administer the overdose to the people. Soon to be knocked out and unable to fight. You want to destroy and enslave a people? Inflation has been a tool of the wicked and incompetent for centuries. Ever since the invention of “fiat” or paper money the politicians have utilized this financial tool to their advantage to plunder and destroy the people’s ability to fight tyrants. Hitler used inflation on the 1920’s Germany to present his case to the German people that dictatorship and killing millions of Jews was needed to restore everyday life.

For years I disagreed with business commentator Peter Schiff about the return to the gold standard but watching the Federal Reserves performance and acquiescence to this fraudulent re-inflation of the dollar I simply cannot argue for the Federal Reserve or its role anymore. I give up. Mr. Schiff is right and I am wrong. Get rid of the Federal Reserve and tie the currency to gold. Gold will fluctuate and there will be disruption in economic activity but any bad is insignificant to the destruction the Federal Reserve has twice now, the first being the facilitation of the Great Depression through ignorance and indifference, and now looking the other way or encouraging the housing bubble and re-inflating our currency today. You win the argument Mr. Schiff. All the worlds central banks have one thing in common, they made or facilitated this mess and work with social and fascist politicians who goal is to financially enslave millions with high taxes and little economic freedom and opportunity.

CNN Censors Peter Schiff Federal Reserve Rant?

So as our reportedly Parkinson disease riddled from too much cocaine abuse in his 20’s communist educated half Negro president reads his teleprompter stirring that bobble head to the left then the right for the next four years the wheels of dictatorship churn behind his empty mind.

When the inflation hits Obama and the democrats might be swept out of power. Perfectly logical assumption and the party that will be swept in will be better? Not if it’s the Republicans. All the Republican actions of the last decade should tell the American public that they are in lockstep with the democrats. They pretend to disagree on abortion, stem cell research and other issues that don’t affect the majority of Americans but on the issue of dictatorship they very much agree and work with the democrats whenever push comes to shove. We have seen the Republicans sell out time after time on bail outs, oil drilling, prescription drug benefits, education and the list goes on. People and states need to accept the facts that if the Republicans gain power in 2010 the dictatorship move forward at a slower pace. And that it.

The best hope for the future and avoiding a fate similar to what happened to Germany in the 1940’s is for the states like Texas to oppose federal power in any way that they can. Pass state laws in immigration, guns, and taxes and take them all the way to the Supreme Court. When times get desperate, and they will when hyper inflation hits our country, pass laws allowing for state currencies and forcing employees to write checks for federal taxes instead of withholding. States need to protect their people from the plundering federal government. Finally states should be prepared as was the case with the Alamo to fight for their right to live in peace and prosperity from a tyrannical dictatorship our founding fathers warned us about.

Well today it is HR 1966

This is a bill introduced by California Democrat Linda Sanchez and about a dozen co-sponsors.

US Foreign Debt jumps to 35% of GDP

May 6, 2009
Posted by Economics9698 @ 12:15 PM

By Raymond Richman, Howard Richman, and Jesse Richman

On April 21, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected (see the World Economic Outlook, pp. 36-37) that the US foreign debt will increase from about 4.5% of world GDP in 2007 to about 9% in 2009. Given that the US foreign debt was 17.7% of US GDP at the end of 2007, this means that our foreign debt will be about 35% of US GDP by the end of this year as shown in the red line on the graph below

usdebt

US foreign debt tends to increase when the United States runs a trade deficit on goods and services using money either borrowed from abroad or invested by foreigners in U.S, assets. The black line shows the cumulative effects of US trade deficits since 1987. The black line has been rising every year, except 1991 when the Persian Gulf states gave us huge gifts in return for our liberation of Kuwait from Iraqi control.

The US Foreign Debt does not climb as smoothly as the cumulative trade deficits because the value of American holdings of foreign assets (mostly stocks) tends to fluctuate with stock prices, while the value of foreigners’ holdings in the United States (mostly bonds) tends to be stable.

Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal

pigfdrbookMyths about the Great Depression were once a mere annoyance. Now they have become a source for tyranny. The Bush-Obama response to the meltdown proves that one thing is certain: until we get the history of the 1930s right, liberty will be under threat of those trying to repeat the drama.

Thank goodness Robert Murphy has come along to straighten out the mess in a way that everyone can understand. In this hard-hitting book, we find the most accessible and most truth-telling book about the Great Depression and the New Deal that has ever been written.

Free-market economists have been working for decades to make the record of the calamity clear. This book may just be the magic bullet we’ve been looking for to kill off the myths before they kill us.

He puts together in one easy package the research of hundreds of scholars, showing that it was not capitalism that failed in 1929 but the boom times created by Fed credit expansion. Murphy takes aim at the Chicago School economists and the Keynesians who continued to be in denial on this central point.

A particularly great feature here for Austrians dealing with monetarist myths: Murphy explains that the deflation in the 1930s didn’t have to be somehow devastating. It was not egregious by historical standards, and was fully compatible with economic growth. In fact, the Fed tried but failed to flood the economy with money in the 1930s. Here Murphy provides a very compelling explanation of fractional-reserve banking and its effect on the supply of money.

He further shows that Hoover was not a free-market president. His policies were so statist that he might as well have been a Soviet agent. His biggest critic, who blasted him for his spending and centralization, was none other than FDR. But once FDR came to power, he enacted the longest string of cockamamie, prosperity-killing measures of any president in American history.

The economy still hadn’t recovered going into World War II, a war that didn’t help the economy or get us out of the Great Depression. It prolonged the government-made pain.

Murphy dissects the real history here with facts, analysis, clear prose, suggestions for further reading, fantastic quotations from all the main players, and even when he is discussing complicated data, he never leaves the reader behind.

Murphy concludes his book by recounting what led to the current crash. And wraps it all up with an excellent criticism of Bush-Obama and predicts that their policies will prolong problems.

This book appears as part of Regnery’s “Political Incorrect Guide” series but, in fact, this account is not biased in any particular direction. It is just good history, accurate history, truth-telling history that we have to know to navigate the treacherous waters of today’s economic and political environment.

Capitalists everywhere should have this on their bookshelf and in their briefcase.

New GOP?

May 4, 2009
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 10:03 AM

mouseWe the people would be better served having Mickey Mouse as the leader of our country.

The GOP is getting a face lift?

I say forget it!

Dismantle is more along the lines that I would support.
Yes I am still a member … as bad as it is I have yet to change.

I need my own party!
For years I have walked a middle road. For years I have been forced to vote for the least of the evils. With this election for the first time in my voting years I had decided to simply NOT VOTE at all.

Instinctively I knew Barack Obama was either a blatant liar or a political con artist. He turned out to be all of the above. John McCain had one thing going for him he is a war hero. That in itself was not enough.

In the who to vote for selection process that ran through my mind I said to myself. There are great numbers conned by the new guy on the block. Well let me vote for him too and just let those conned deal with the consequences.

Then Sarah Palin was dragged front and center by McCain.
Lets face it public … if it had not been for her it would have REALLY been a landslide for Obama.

Those who malign her? What can I say but she is a terrible threat to them. A huge percent of NOW (national organization of women) hates her (of course she displays what they are definitely NOT). The Democrats hate her because they know she will kick their ass out of the ball park one on one. Those with a self agenda in the Republican party hate her for the same reason.

So what does this woman have that causes the “GRASSROOTS” to rally for her?

SHE IS ONE OF US.
Her home story could easily be that of any of us out here.
What her kids do could be part of what our kids do.
She has the guts to speak from her heart and that genuine “walking the talk” resounds to those of us who truly want hope and change.

That base honesty of being what you believe in and being willing to work against all odds for that goal is what is missing in Washington today.

What are we left with today in Washington as a leader?
A flat flop.
Someone who is intent on driving the last coffin nails into our once free society.

Who is really to blame?
We the people !
We dropped our guard a long time ago.

Can any of this be fixed?
I certainly hope so … but will it be fixed by the GOP?
Hardly!
Its time for the OLD GUARD to move over, they had their chance and were/are a miserable flop.

I want a fresh start, someone who stands up and tells me like it is and is willing to go to the mat for ethics.

Where do the liberal Democrats stand in all of this?
They are the worst of the 2 evils … to coin a phrase given to me today … “they are to dumb to know dumb”.

It’s in the news.

White House “Nouveau Riche”

It is indeed interesting to watch the new class less couple in the whitehouse.
From “not a pot” to “excess billions” at the tax payers expense.

It’s pretty easy to spend spend spend when it is not yours and that is what we see with our new head of state. It seems neither the President or his first lady have the common sense of a 4 year old. Some of the things going on in their everyday life is actually becoming downright laughable.

I find it more than hypocritical that Obama PREACHES “tighten your belts” when he apparently has no belt. Apparently the new leader does not realize you gain respect by “practicing what you preach” … oh but why should he? We are footing the bill.

First we have an expensive uncalled for NYC flyover to the tune of how much WASTED CASH?
Move over Joe Bidden the first lady is close on your heels with? Who the heck opened the cage doors?
First Lady Michelle Obama steps out in Lanvin sneakers and they’re only $540!

Glenn Beck wrote a piece about Rush Linbaugh for “Time 100″

Excerpt:
“No matter how many new technologies pop up, nothing will ever surpass the intimacy of radio. And nobody will ever be better at utilizing it than Rush. His consistency, insight and honesty have earned him a level of trust with his listeners that politicians can only dream of. And that is why the more irrelevant critics try to make him, the more relevant he becomes.”

Read the whole piece …

U.S. Supreme Court justice Justice Clarence Thomas is offering some legal insight about the so-called Fairness Doctrine, suggesting the off-the-books policy could be declared unconstitutional if it’s revived and brought before the bench.

In written discussion on yesterday’s ruling cracking down on indecent language on television, Justice Clarence Thomas called the policy “problematic” and a “deep intrusion into the First Amendment rights of broadcasters.”

The doctrine requiring broadcasters to air opposing viewpoints on controversial issues was brought to an end in the 1980s under the direction of President Ronald Reagan’s Federal Communications Commission.

Excerpt from: Muslims: ‘We do that on first dates’ by Ann Coulter

“The CIA’s interrogation techniques couldn’t be more ridiculous if they were out of Monty Python’s Spanish Inquisition sketch:”

  • Cardinal! Poke her with the soft cushions! …
  • Hmm! She is made of harder stuff! Cardinal Fang! Fetch … THE COMFY CHAIR!
  • So you think you are strong because you can survive the soft cushions. Well, we shall see. Biggles! Put her in the Comfy Chair! …
  • Now – you will stay in the Comfy Chair until lunchtime, with only a cup of coffee at 11.

Have you ever wondered how to wrap your mind around all of this millions and trillions the government is talking about? Take a look at the definition of this cleaver young man. Then next time you listen to Obama tell you how HE IS managing things and fixing the debt? You will actually understand what a fraud he actually is.

Obama is suppose to be a man with an IQ of 178?
My estimation is 80 and that might be high.
Actually none of us know for sure because we have seen nothing real of his records … only his own made up history. Anyone on the internet for any length of time at all knows how easy it is for frauds to manufacture an inflated history.

The Link Between Obama and John Law

fdrobamamississippiObama’s 100th day is upon us and the new president is ramping up an expansion of government that will place him alongside some of the most notorious dictators in history. CNN’s senior political analyst Bill Schneider may believe Obama’s personal qualities make him “the superpresident,” but first and foremost, Obama with his $3.5 trillion budget sees himself as the new FDR, armed with a new New Deal.

But the New Deal wasn’t new when FDR did it. The charismatic Roosevelt was more than 200 years behind John Law’s Mississippi Bubble, described as “the first New Deal of the capitalist order,” by John T. Flynn in his amazing book Men of Wealth.

In a chapter devoted to the money magician, Flynn cleverly calls Law the “evangelist of abundance.” And conditions in France could not have been riper for Law’s fiscal chicanery in 1715. France was completely ruined by Louis XIV, a ruler whom history has been much too kind to, according to Flynn. He ravaged the country he ruled, while being a “shallow, egotistical, pretentious coxcomb.”

Louis spent vast millions on his palaces and engaged poets and writers to write of his virtues, long before the days of CNN. As Flynn explains, industry had not come to France, thus the king stole his wealth from small farmers and city-dwelling artisans through oppressive taxation.
