One of our local aspiring politicians here in Central Florida has recently written a book explaining his politics intertwined with history and a stab at economics. I have briefly meet Todd on several political rallies and must admit when I first meet him last December 2008 I was totally thrown back by the fact that he was a trial lawyer. Honestly after losing Orange County Republican Representative Ric Keller and his crap and losing my beloved Seminole County Congressional Representative Tom Feeney in the 2008 congressional elections to liberal Democrats I was in no mood for another RINO. It took a couple of beers and self control not to get just a little perturbed. Well I was wrong about Todd.

In his book he explains the frustrations he and millions of other conservative voters have had with former President Bush and the Republican in the congress and senate from 2001 to 2006. Basically we the people voted in one group of people and got a totally different result. Expanded federal government, new entitlement programs, corruption, poorly executed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (until General Petraeus took over in 2006 in my opinion), lack of border enforcement and the constant political charades that pass as politics in Washington. The frustration and disgust is mutually and universally felt by millions including Todd.

The book is extremely well written for what I assume is a first book. It is at a basic senior high school level and is very easy to grasp the concepts that are put forward. The order of discussion is also very coherent and well thought out. The book starts out with the founding fathers and eliminates a lot of propaganda currently passing for fact in the main stream of the media and education institutions. How we got away from being a Christian nation and how the founding fathers viewed religion as part of our being are examined with just enough depth to make the case without boring the reader with tedious example after example. Pretty damn good job for a new author. An examination of socialism, dependency verses capitalism is examined in economic wealth terms as well as spiritual terms. Not something you see in every political book.

The current issues like our $11.5 trillion dept are examined currently and looking at the road of how we got here. Solutions are provided that are sp ecific ranging from a balanced budget amendment to supporting the Fair Tax national sales tax plan. Obama’s disastrous economic policies are examined without vilifying the man. Education and the importance of Christianity in children’s lives are examined. Supporting school vouchers is not going to win Todd any teacher votes and saying so in black and white took some courage for the likely Republican nominee for the Orange County congressional seat in 2010. Supporting 12 year limits on the senate and house members will not endear him to the established members of the Republican or Democratic Party. The stands that Todd made in this book took real courage and I mostly agree and certainly respect that. How many times have we had a politician tell us one thing and do the opposite? Seems like every day at the White House.

The book goes on to cover energy independence, health care reform, entitlement reform, illegal immigration, the environment (surprisingly green for a Republican), and finally the most, for me anyway, interesting part of the book, his assessment of running for congress as a complete unknown. Bein g a local I remember his radio adds and really liked what he said. But after Bush what was the difference between him and his primary opponent Keller? Really all I wanted was the seat to stay in Republican hands. Todd gives all us interested in politics some real insight to the process as an average Joe trying to make a difference and the obstacles he faced. Sadly only eight pages were devoted to this subject. The book is worth the price just to read his thoughts on that bitter campaign last summer.
Finally Todd is a lawyer not a business person or economist. And as such has blind spots in some of his policy solutions. It’s not his fault per se. He doesn’t circle much in these fields and just doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. Here are a few of his solution that I had a beef with.

Education scores are given for science scores for whites, Hispanics, American Indians and African Americans (these hyphenated classifications make me want to vomit). Well here is the politically incorrect truth. Whites have an average IQ of 100, Asian 101, Jews 110+, Hispanics 93, and blacks 85. Ouch that hurts. Vouchers are the right solution. Let the parents and students self segregate based on academics, athletic, knighting, race or any other way they want to. Forcing students with totally different values, intellects and abilities is beyond stupid. That doesn’t mean if Steve Erkel, the black brainy kid on Family Matters, wants to attend the dork school he should be denied . Go for it. The kid would fit right in there. Let the parents and children decide what is best for them. I said it not Todd.

On illegal immigration Mr. Long is right about non enforcement costing blue collar workers jobs and wages. Want a dirty little secret? Blue collar wages are driven down about 37%, depending on worker demand, by illegal immigration.

On page 159 a proposal to have women seeking an abortion view the unborn fetus on an ultrasound to make them sympathetic and possibly change their minds about the abortion is proposed. Bad idea. Some women who have abortions are haunted for years afterward. No need to make it worse. Or maybe that is the intention?

You want to make women responsible for their behavior? A better idea would be to do away with all payments related to children. No welfare, child support, food stamps. Eliminate it all. Give custody to the parent with the most stable employment background. If that fails start looking at dividing the kids up. If that doesn’t work look at the grandparents. If that doesn’t work adoption and finally bring back the orphanages. A dirty little economic secret is that since the 1950’s the biggest change in the family has not been the lack of faith in Jesus Christ but the change in a money supply to unwed mothers and divorced mothers. Charles Murray of the America Enterprise Institute has written several papers and books on the subject. Any economist worth his salt can do a regression analysis of t he divorce and unwed mother rate from the 1950’s and find the relationship between increased economic incentives to reward bad behavior and a increase in that behavior. Why my friend in graduate school did just such a regression analysis. People are more inclined to follow Jesus Christ if there are consequences to not following his example. Make the consequences real.

As far as religion in schools as a Libertarian if the parents want it then so be it. I don’t feel if parents object they should be ignored. Let them put their kids in a secular school.

On page 179 there is a condemnation of the news media. We all know the liberal idiots who pollute the air waves on a daily basis. But I don’t think much has changed over the years. Some people want to be informed and some could care less. The media in the 70’s was never fair they just hid their bias better. Hey I am all for honesty. At least know you know you’re getting propaganda from the jerks. I disagree that people are less informed today. If you want to know something you can find it much quicker than back in the day. The same 30% that supported the American Revolution are the same 30% that are well informed today. I have a family of liberals and facts mean nothing to them. Trust me on this. They will seek out the propaganda no matter what.

Abolishing the FCC would be a good first step. The government has no constitutional right to the air waves. Through the whole thing to the industry and have them come up with standards of decency and reporting news events. When they come up with their standards they either sign on or they don’t. If they don’t follow their standards have them sue each other in an arbitration hearing. Fines go to the winner. The FCC is about to silence critics and like any government program is poorly managed and susceptible to politics and dictators. Get rid of it if you ever get the chance.

On health care get rid of Medicaid, Medicare and all federal government related expenditures. Give the people a voucher to the elderly buy health insurance. Eliminate pre-existing clauses. Set up medical savings accounts for the young and so forth. CATO has written several papers on the subject and they have several excellent free market solutions. Mr. Long supports decentralizing government programs to the state and local level. Privatize it all and get the government out of the business.

Pretty much the same thing with social security. Mr. Long does support privatization of social security but also support raising age eligibility requirements if social security is not privatized. Pretty unfair but then again the whole system is unfair. I support giving a rebate to anyone who wants to opt out of the system with interest. That would be fair. And require all private accounts mandated, say 5% of gross income, to be put in federal, state or local bonds. The money will not grow fast but that’s not what it’s for. People can use their income above 5% to invest as they please.

On the ethanol mess I couldn’t quite pick up if Mr. Long was for or against the tariff on Brazilian ethanol. As any respectable economist will tell you tariffs punish consumers at about a 9 to 1 up to a 19 to one ration. For every domestic dollar gain to industry consumers lose $9 to $19. Bill Clinton knew this dirty little economic secret and when he signed NAFTA it helped our economy. Never support tariffs. The government’s policy on energy should be one of encouragement then getting out of the way. Period. Do that and gas will be $1.50 a gallon.
The green people will be disappointed that Mr. Long isn’t for cutting down every tree and eliminating every environmental regulation. Oh well. But as stated before industries should self regulate themselves with the government acting only as the referee throwing the flag when someone cheats. Industries know who cheats, how they do it and if they can get away with it. Setting up a financial system to rat out and fine the bad players would clean up any industry pretty darn quick. I have worked with thousands of contractors over the years and they know all the tricks of the trade. Having them hire industry insiders to check out the other guy would be much more effective than government for life employees looking to make friends.

Overall this was an excellent first book that is very suitable for younger readers and those without a lot of political knowledge. For hard core politicians, economist, business people getting Mr. Long’s positions on issues is refreshing. Mr. Long makes no apologies for his religious faith and takes some very politically dangerous positions. Honesty in a political book is a rare thing these days and he is to be complemented on his frankness. Well worth the read. Best of luck in 2010.

The forces of the people have been waging a assault on Obama and his health care for months now just as the allies in WWII pushed the Germans back out of France and next to the motherland. Like the allies it has been a wonderful campaign of watching the fascist in retreat. Only problem? The other side has a lot of men and material left to do battle with. And like the Battle of the Bulge the people will get a big huge smack down if they don’t take heed to the counter attack coming their way.

What does the other side have? The press. Not to be underestimated. Obama and his emotionally handicapped thugs can turn the press into vicious attack dog in a New Your minute. A few well spoken words that the attack is on and the press will vilify any opponent in its path. And it will.

59 senators and 257 congressmen and women. Legislatively they can do as they please. Fraudulent elections like in Minnesota and Washington are just a warm up for the coming fraud in 2010 and 2012 when California will gain 9 congressional seats due in large part to illegal immigration. If you think your going to get a conservative Republican sympathetic to your values think again. It ain’t going to happen. We have one party rule until succession and revolution.

Inflation. That weasel Ben Bernanke knows his role in the future. He’s the dude that will drop the inflation bomb if things get really bad for the fascist. He can destroy you overnight just like what happened in Argentina where a peso became worthless overnight. And it will happen. The bonds have been issued and the currency printed. It’s already there in place and all the weasel has to do is raise the fed funds rate. You will be destroyed and helpless. Your money worthless. Gas will be $6.00 a gallon. The deed has already been done and Bernanke is just waiting his marching orders from the chosen one. And you will suffer for your disobedience.

What do you do? Get a gun and learn how to use it inside and out. Don’t be like the 6 million Jews during Hitler’s reign that went down without a fight. If the government fights you will you win? No. You will lose but you have to ask yourself do I want to go out like the millions of Jews to the concentration camps or go down with a fight. Well which one is it? You the individual can make a difference.

Protest often and hard. I am a regular working class American like millions of others but have through hard work and my own cash been able to obtain a pretty fricking respectable education. I am fortunate that give or take a little I KNOW where this crapola is leading. We have a bunch of adult juveniles that are slowly waking up to see the coming dictatorship for what it is and those of us who saw through the junk from day one. The question is can we turn back the clock. Its 1934 Germany in America and thanks is to God for people like Glen Beck, Neal Boortz and other less intellectually gifted pundits for getting the word out ton the people. WE HAVE GOT TO MAKE ONE LAST PEACEFUL STAND!

Going to Washington DC or a local 9-12 protest is our chance to peacefully engage the imperial federal government before dissent is shut down. We can make a difference! This is your chance and you need to take advantage of it or go to your grave regretting you didn’t make a stand.

In the long run what you need to know is that the USSR broke up over being BROKE! They, the Central Committee, simply could not pay their bills. The army, civil servants, peasants all went unpaid. The USSR federal government was broke. And that is what is happening to OUR federal government. The day China and Singapore lose faith in America and stop buying our treasury notes is the day inflation will kick in and our government will be broke. USSR II. And the ground work has been accomplished by Obama, Bush and our imperial federal government.

If we get to the point where Washington cannot be rescued from itself state legislatures need to be VERY strong in the face of adversity. That day may be a year from now or 20 years from now but that day will come. State legislatures need to self segregate based on their constituents. California will be its own nation. Don’t fight it. The south and Midwest will form the most powerful new nation and the northeast will form its own union. Accept it and don’t waste men and material fighting it. Form free trade alliances and live in peace and liberty. The new motto should be “freedom for those who want to be free.”

As the Irish bastard Ted Kennedy is laid in the grave to spend the rest of his eternal life in purgatory the malcontent fascist, socialist and communist will rally and press the American people for government option health care. They have no choice. The revolution is starting to take hold and it’s not exactly the revolution they envisioned where the people of color got their reparations from the white folks. They must put white people back in their place or lose the revolution.

The politically incorrect truth is the white people of America have finally been awakened after years of wine and roses to the very real possibility that they will soon be the equivalent of serfs working for illegal immigrants and Negros. Talking the talk about equality and privilege. Givi ng Negros with an education a soft overpaid government job. Appeasing the bastards and then the realization kicks in the thugs and malcontents have real political power sets in. And the old farts go crazy. This is America and as long as the white can self segregate themselves everything was cool. Buy that $350,000 house in the suburbs and forget the cities and lower middle class. Where were these people when affirmative action was discriminating against better candidates in everything from the military to college? Where were the Republicans when desegregation was destroying thousands of schools and communities? Where were these white people standing up for OUR values of honesty and hard work? Where were they? Off in the suburbs ignoring it all. And now you have handed over the power of the White House to a communist educated half Negro who has every intention of following through with a dictatorship of the proletariat to achieve his goals.

And you will soon be outnumbered. Illegal immigrants swarming into California. Yea illegal immigrants with four times the crime rate and not a care about politics flooding your cities. The same losers who supported the PRI in Mexico for 90 years. One party people much like our American Negros who support the democrats 88% to 95% of the time.

Ted Kennedy died today (8-26-09) after a long battle with brain cancer. The news media will focus on his accomplishments and so will I. He was a life long politician in the Senate for almost 47 years. Let’s see 77 minus 47 equals 30. So basically the guy never had a real job like most modern politicians. A womanizer and reportedly a cocaine and drug user. He was never arrested for the crimes. He was a belligerent opponent if the Iraq war and accused Bush and our troops of war crimes.

He was kicked out of Harvard twice for cheating. Once by himself and a second when he paid a classmate to cheat for him. When he was kicked out of Harvard he accidentally enlisted for four years instead of two. The dufus obviously misread the contract. So typical of our legislatures. When he realized the mistake he went to daddy to straiten it out to two years and ensure he served in Europe not Korea during the war. In two years he never exceeded the rank of private. Even during war time when promotions are handed out like candy. At Virginia law school he received four reckless driving citations but never lost his license. Amazing for all of us young speeders who did lose our licenses’ at one time or another. When he was in a plane crash in 1964 test revealed he was drunk. Of course is there any other way to fly? And of course the defining moment in his life when he had a chance to show real character July 19, 1969 when he got drunk and ran off a bridge with Mary Jo Kopechne in the car. The bastard walked past a fire station and went to his hotel room to sleep off his drunkenness and worry about his political career. Mary Jo lived maybe several hours with a pocket of air clawing at the upside down car floor and finally suffocated while Ted slept.

During his legislative career he was a champion of spending other people’s money but had several houses and the family fortune kept safe. He helped write legislation that flooded America with illegal immigrants but scarcely anything else of note. He was a stupid drunk from a rich family who found support from all the liberal creeps in Washington. If there is a heaven and hell he surly is in hell.

NEWS FROM MONTANA
Things are not always what they seem.

Hello All,
By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Joe and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date.

On about Tuesday Joe found out that they would be holding the Town Hall at the airport. (This is only because Joe knows EVERYONE at the airport)

Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public.

FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!! $$$$$

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession. $$$$$

Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm 900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Joe and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama’s spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a
fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said
they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.

The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them..professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.

If you are wondering about the press..Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho. Speaking of the local media, they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn’t want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the
White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes..the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come.

Smoke and mirrors EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America, more like the USSR!! I was physically nauseous. Joe and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress hear your voices again and again!! If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in Washington DC. Scary!!

We all know Barack Obama came from humble beginnings. However actually not as humble as he would like us ALL to believe.

There are examples of people who really have humble beginnings rising up to help humanity we could all name. Apparently Barack Obama can not count on that personal element of character for himself (nor can we the people) now or ever.

I happened onto the poor brother in Kenya information before but this time it caught my attention because it displays what Barack Obama IS NOT.

Most normal people understand charity begins at home. We take care of family members in need and then we branch out to help others around us.

I guess it’s community organize and “family be damned”?
Where Barack lives in an upside down world of accolaids for what he can do for others and ignore the plight of family circumstance? I think it needs to be noted any work Barack does or has done … comes on the backs of others. Apparently he is not shelling out any personal sheckles for anyone but himself.

Interesting at the same time comes a viral email about Narcissism suppoedly by Dr. Sam Vaknin. A long read but interesting none the less.

As days wear on in this latest government take over “community organizer” is getting exposed for what it actually is … a few people at the top AGAIN conning the suckers at hand into being the necessary “slave labor” needed to fill their own coffers.

How ironic the chief SLAVE MASTER is a black man himself.

The getting something FREE for nothing is a strong seduction.

It applied in 1810 and clearly is alive and well today.

This just came my way. From the first time I heard of Sheriff Joe and his solution to problems in Arizona I had to give him a big hand.

I continue to appalud him and others who think as he does.

You all remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona, who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!

Oh, there’s MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behaviour. They give great classes for anyone who’d like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.

I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand.

He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 – $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.

Yup, he was re-elected last year with 83% of the vote.
Now he’s in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens.. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn’t doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border.. He’s kind of a ‘Git-R Dun’ kind of Sheriff.

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders.. Criminals should be punished for their crimes – not live in luxury until it’s time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can’t afford to have for themselves.

Oh yes democrats at work. Democracy in action. Congressman Alan Grayson of Orlando held a heath care town hall meeting August 17th at the local Electricians Union Hall 606. The capacity, I kid you not, was 120. There were easily 700 protesters outside who could not get in. And to make matters worse Grayson and his fascist thugs were doing a drivers license check to see if the people were “in his district”. Well we have a problem Mr. Grayson my congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas will not be having a town hall meeting so I guess I am out of luck unless I want a telephone conference.

Of course the majority were union members and their families. For the life of me I cannot understand how any union guy would want to exchange private health insurance for crappy government care. I have worked with these guys many years and i n Orlando being a union anything is a tough gig. Many contractors will not hire them and they know it. When they do get a job they have done some quality work. At Orlando City Hall years ago I was the inspector and was very pleased with the welding they did on the key structural elements of the project. Good not great but well done where it really counts. Inspectors always respect the trades when they pull through when it’s an important structural element of the structure.

Anyway Alan used these guys as his front guys along with his three kids to keep the ruckus down. What a goof ball this guy is. What a shame all that intellect had to be wasted in some canned environment. Alan your better than that. Get a high school gymnasium and let it fly dude.

So here we are seeing democracy crushed before our very eyes. Soon all town hall meeting will be stages political infomercials for the members of the party. I will get arrested for my subversive views along with millions of other Americans. And the dictatorship will move on.

As Dick Morris points out now is the time to unload on these guys. Even when they lose in 2010 if Obama’s legislation is passed it will be too late. Once the government gets cap and trade, health care and card check they can unleash inflation that will make the next dictator a forgone conclusion. Obama is the set up guy in my opinion. If you don’t know the story of the Roman Emperor Caligula (12 AD to 41 AD) it is one of brutality and sadness. His father was a great warrior adopted by Emperor Tiberius. He was extremely popular to the extent that he was considered a threat to Emperor Tiberius. It is rumored Tiberius had Germanicus poisoned when Caligula was 6 years old. When Caligula’s mother returned to Rome with her six children she became embroiled in a feud with Tiberius that eventually destroyed the remainder of her family. His mother and brother were exiled in 29 AD on charges of treason. His other brother was imprisoned on charges of treason. Caligula himself was shuttled from grandmother to grandmother and was forced to be Tiberius’s servant. Eventually his mother and two brothers died in prison. By the time Caligula was granted emperor status he could not have20hated the senate and people of Rome anymore than he did. Despite this hatred remarkably his first two years were relatively event free. It wasn’t until his third and fourth years that he became the tyrant history remembers him for.

I almost rolled out of my chair with laughter when I heard Dennis Miller’s description of her the other night on Bill OReilly. He called her a “Karma Compromiser” … one who compromises or negated all of the good work you have accumulated by your own good deeds by just be being around her.
As if that was not enough to bring tears of hysterical laughter to me his further description was the crowning glory … “vapid, insipid, empty headed, nasty piece of work”. I had to wonder how divinely inspired those comments were … LOL still.

I use to turn on the TV and find myself yelling at the stupidity of it all. Today I turn it on for my laugh of the day.

So what do I think about the “birthers” sign campaign?
1. They are certainly keeping the “birth certificate” in the public eye.
2. They demonstrate how the “Saul Alinsky” tactic of “attack the character of your opponent when you have no real valid attack” is alive and well in the Obama supporter camp. Much to their chagrin their opposition (conservatives, liberals, libertarians as well as thinking Democrats) are a quick study and are FINALLY starting to fight fire with fire (Ann Coulter leading the charge … with real life facts “not astroturf” as her shield and sword).
3. No matter what they are NOT GIVING UP!

I have to wonder how long it is going to take (if ever) before the Republicans pull their heads out of the sand (or worse their own asses) and wake up to the fact AMERICANS are FED UP.

The “ONE THING” that I can not reconcile in my mind is:

How does someone let “arrogantly stupid” over ride pride in your life achievements (if indeed your achievement is real)?
At what point in life being proud of your achievements (if you actually have them) over rides arrogance?

So for me it boils down to something fairly simple.
For a man to continue a fight over something so trivial (IF INDEED HE IS LEGITIMATE) means clearly?
HE DOES NOT HAVE THE PROPER CHARACTER TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY.

I was reading this morning an article at Mises Daily about our American dollar.

Interestingly, when asked if there is anything else a person can store their savings in, globetrotting investor Doug Casey recently offered up an item that has historically been used as money — cigarettes. “Well, they keep raising the taxes on cigarettes — a pack now costs $10 in some places in the US, that’s 50 cents per individual cigarette,” Casey says.

If you’re American and are going to be storing things, you probably can’t go wrong building a stash of cigarettes. Even if you don’t smoke — or perhaps especially if you don’t smoke — every time you return to the US, you should buy the maximum amount of duty-free cigarettes allowed and store them.

Cigarettes, despite flunking the “durability” test, meet all the other criteria to make them a good monetary instrument. They are generally marketable, despite the constant attacks on their use as being unhealthy. Cigarettes are divisible, recognizable, (somewhat) homogeneous, and, due to the increased taxation, fairly stable in value and have a high value per unit weight. In fact, a 7-Eleven at the Jersey shore recently advertised selling cigarettes priced “at the state minimum.”

Cigarettes are so valuable that they are being stolen by the truckload to be sold in high-tax states — like New Jersey, New York, and Washington. But individual counties also ladle taxes on each pack leading to smuggling within a single state with varying county tax rates, reports the Wall Street Journal. “It’s a big business and it’s getting horribly bigger,” Paul Carey III, enforcement coordinator for the Northern Virginia Cigarette Tax Board, told the Wall Street Journal.

As in the case of counterfeiting, states don’t take cigarette bootlegging lightly. Undercover agents for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance arrested 18 people, including two 7-Eleven operators, for buying untaxed cigarettes. Smugglers are even willing to trade cocaine for cigarettes. “That tells you about the profit margin they saw on cigarettes,” the ATF’s Edgar Domenech told the Wall Street Journal.

Congressman Tom McClintock offered remarks in Washington , D.C. , on Friday to the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Pacific Research Institute that clearly illustrate why California is facing such a large fiscal mess.

His beginning joke is so funny because it is so true:
“I know that everybody likes to poke fun at California – but I can tell you right now that despite all of its problems, California remains one of the best places in the world to build a successful small business. All you have to do is start with a successful large business.”

Laugh if you will, but let me remind you that when these policies finish wrecking California, there are still 49 other states we can all move to – and yours is one of them.

I should also warn you of the strange sense of déjà-vu that I have every day on the House floor as I watch the same folly and blunders that wrecked California now being passed with reckless abandon in this Congress.

We passed a “Cash-for-Clunkers” bill the other day – we did that years ago in California .

Doubling the entire debt every five years? Been there.

Increasing spending at unsustainable rates? Done that.

Save-the-Planet-Carbon-Dioxide restrictions? Got the T-Shirt.

To understand how these policies can utterly destroy an economy and bankrupt a government, you have to remember the Golden State in its Golden Age.

A generation ago, California spent about half what it does today AFTER adjusting for both inflation and population growth.
And yet, we had the finest highway system in the world and the finest public school system in the country. California offered a FREE university education to every Californian who wanted one. We produced water and electricity so cheaply that many communities didn’t bother to measure the stuff. Our unemployment rate consistently ran well below the national rate and its diversified economy was nearly recession-proof.

One thing – and one thing only – has changed in those years: public policy. The political Left gradually gained dominance over California’s government and has imposed a disastrous agenda of radical and retrograde policies that have destroyed the quality of life that Californians once took for granted.

The Census Bureau reports that in the last two years 2/3 of a million more people have moved out of California than have moved into it. Many are leaving for the garden spots of Nevada, Arizona and Texas . Think about that. California is blessed with the most equitable climate in the entire Western Hemisphere; it has the most bountiful resources anywhere in the continental United States; it is poised on the Pacific Rim in a position to dominate world trade for the next century, and yet people are finding a better place to live and work and raise their families in the middle of the Nevada and Arizona and Texas deserts.

I submit to you that no conceivable act of God could wreak such devastation as to turn California into a less desirable place to live than the middle of the Nevada Nuclear Test Range . Only Acts of Government can do that. And they have.

You can trace the collapse of California’s economy to several critical events: the rise of environmental Ludditism beginning in 1974; the abandonment of constitutional checks and balances that once constrained spending and borrowing; and the rise of rule by public employee unions . There are other factors as well: litigation, taxation, illegal immigration – but for the sake of time let me concentrate on the big three.

The first was the rise of environmental Ludditism with the election of a radical new-age leftist named Jerry Brown as governor of the state – an election that also produced overwhelming liberal majorities in both legislative houses.

Like Obama today, Brown lost little time in pursuing his vision of California – an incoherent combination of pastoral simplicity, European socialism and centralized planning. At the center of this world view was a backward ideology that he called his “era of limits” – the naïve notion that public works were growth inducing and polluting and that stopping the expansion of infrastructure somehow excused government from meeting the needs of an expanding population. Conservation replaced abundance as the chief aim of California ’s public works, and public policy was redirected to developing irresistible incentives for the population to concentrate in dense urban cores rather than to settle in suburban communities. Brown infused his vision into every aspect of public policy, and it is a testament to his thoroughness and tenacity that its basic tenets have dominated the direction of California through both Republican and Democratic administrations.

He cancelled the state’s highway construction program, abandoning many routes in mid-construction. He cancelled long-planned water projects, conveyance facilities and dams. He established the California Energy Commission that blocked approval of any significant new generating capacity. He enacted volumes of environmental regulations that created severe impediments to home and commercial construction, empowering an incipient no-growth movement that began on the most extreme fringe of the environmental cause and quickly spread. This movement reached its zenith with Arnold Schwarzenegger and t he enactment of AB 32 and companion legislation in 2006. This measure gives virtually unchecked authority to the California Air Resources Board to force Draconian reductions in carbon dioxide emissions by 2020.

This has dire implications to entire segments of California ’s economy: agriculture, baking, distilling, cargo and passenger transportation, cement production, manufacturing, construction and energy production, to name a few.

We, too, were promised an explosion of “green jobs,” but exactly the opposite has happened.

Up until that bill took effect, California ’s unemployment numbers tracked very closely with the national unemployment rate. But since then, California ’s unemployment rate began a steady upward divergence from the national jobless figures. Today, California ’s unemployment rate is more than two points above the national rate, and at its highest point since 1941.

The second problem is structural: the collapse of the checks and balances and other constitutional and traditional constraints on government spending and borrowing.

Let me mention a few of them.

The State Supreme Court decision in Serrano v. Priest severed the use of local revenue for local schools and invited the state take-over of public education. AB 8 of 1979 – the legislature’s response to Proposition 13 – essentially did the same thing to local governments generally.

This means that vast bureaucracies have grown up over the service delivery level, wasting more and more resources while hamstringing teachers in their classrooms, wardens in their prisons and city councils in their towns.

Next, constitutional constraints on fiscal excesses began to fall. In 1983, Gov. George Deukmejian approved legislation to remove the governor’s ability to make mid-year budget corrections without having to return to the legislature. The loss of this provision exposed the state to chronic deficit spending by removing any ability of the governor to rapidly respond to changing economic conditions. In 1989, Deukmejian sponsored Proposition 111 that destroyed the Gann Spending Limit that had held increases in state spending to inflation and population growth. If that limit had remained intact, California would be enjoying a budget surplus today.

The disastrous tax increases by Pete Wilson in
1991 and Arnold Schwarzenegger this year were made possible by this tragic blunder. Finally, we’ve watched the constitutional budget process that had produced relatively punctual and relatively balanced budgets for nearly 150 years collapse in favor of an extra-constitutional abomination called the big five.

That new process, that began under Pete Wilson and has culminated under Arnold Schwarzenegger bypasses the entire legislative deliberative process in favor of an annual deal struck between the governor and legislative leaders behind closed doors and handed to the legislature as a fait accompli.

This short-circuits the separation of powers that is designed to discipline fiscal excess and it literally bargains away the line-item veto authority of the governor. It is a process that allows legislative leaders to extract concessions from the executive that would not be possible if the separation of powers were maintained. With the checks against excessive spending broken down, borrowing became the preferred method of public finance. The Constitutional requ irement that all taxpayer-supported debt be approved by voters began to erode in the 1930’s, when a depression-era Supreme Court decision allowed the state to run a temporary deficit in the event of an economic down-turn – as long as the shortfall was addressed in the following fiscal year. This practice was narrowly construed until the Wilson administration began using it to justify spreading out a single year’s budget deficit over several years.
During the 1980’s, Gov. Deukmejian began employing a legal fiction called a “lease revenue bond,” to circumvent constitutionally required voter approval.

Although Proposition 13 still protects property owners from unsustainable increases in their property taxes, most of the other fiscal constraints are now gone, and California has entered a period of unprecedented public debt to finance an unprecedented expansion of state government.

The third factor that also can be traced back to the 1970’s was the radical transformation that took place in the nature and power of the state’s public employee unions. Until that time, state law prohibited public employee strikes against the public and prohibited collective bargaining or closed shops.

During the Jerry Brown era, a series of collective bargaining acts handed to public sector unions all the rights and powers of private sector unions – but without any of the natural constraints on private sector unions. The unions soon brought these newly-won powers to bear to elect hand-picked officials to state and local office.
Today, political expenditures by public employee unions exceed all other special interest groups, while they hold compliant majorities in the state legislature and most local agencies.

The result has been radically escalating personnel costs and radically deteriorating performance.

The impact on governmental services has been devastating. Despite exploding budgets, service delivery is collapsing. Firing incompetent teachers has become a virtual impossibility, adding to the deterioration of educational quality. Essential services can no longer be performed because labor costs have made it impossible to sustain those services.

Today, California is like the shopkeeper who leased out too much space, ordered too much inventory, hired too many people and paid them too much. Every month the shopkeeper covers his shortfalls with borrowing and bookkeeping tricks. Ultimately, he will reach a tipping point where anything he does makes his situation worse. Borrowing costs are eating him alive and he’s running out of credit. Raising prices causes his sales to decline. And there’s only so much discretionary spending he can cut.

That’s the state’s predicament in a nutshell. California ’s borrowing costs now exceed the budget of the entire University of California and it is increasingly likely that it will fail to find lenders when it must borrow billions to pay its bills at the end of this month. Ignoring dire warnings, Gov. Schwarzenegger and legislators from both parties earlier this year imposed the biggest state tax increase in American history.

And I can assure you that the Laffer curve is alive and well. In the first two months after the tax increase took effect, state revenues have plunged 33 percent.

Although there are many obsolete, duplicative or low priority programs and20expenditures that the state can – and should – do without, there aren’t enough of them to come anywhere close to closing California ’s deficit.

Sadly, California has reached the terminal stage of a bureaucratic state, where government has become so large and so tangled that it can no longer perform even basic functions.

Fortunately, we have a model that we know works. A generation ago, it produced a high quality of public service at a much lower cost. It maximized management flexibility and it required accountability at the service delivery level. It recognized that only when commerce and enterprise flourish can we finance the basic responsibilities of government.

Restoring this efficiency will require a governor and a legislature with the political will to wrestle control from the public employee unions, dismantle the enormous bureaucracies that have grown up over the service delivery level, decentralize administration and decision making, contract out services that the private sector can provide more efficiently, rescind the recent tax increases that are costing the state money and roll back the regulatory obstacles to productive enterprise.

Alas, we don’t have such leaders and even if we did, the systemic reorganization of the state government can’t be accomplished overnight. Restructuring the public schools would take at least a year; prisons at least two; and health and welfare three to five years before serious savings could be realized.

This brings us to the fine point of the matter. What Churchill called history’s “terrible, chilling words” are about to be pronounced on California ’s failed leadership: “too late.”

A federal loan guarantee or bailout may be the only way to buy time for the restructuring of California ’s bureaucracies to take effect, but the discussion remains academic until and unless the state actually adopts the replacement structures, unburdens its shrinking productive sector and presents a credible plan to redeem the state’s crushing debt and looming obligations.

Without these actions, federal intervention will only make California ’s problems worse by postponing reform, continuing unsustainable spending and piling up still more debt.

In short, if California won’t help itself, the federal government cannot, should not and must not.

And before anyone gets too smug at California ’s agony, remember this: Congress is now enacting the same policies at the national level that have caused the collapse of California . So whistle past this cemetery if you must, but remember the medieval epitaph:
“Remember man as you walk by, as you are now so once was I; as I am now so you will be.” The good news is there is still time for the nation to avoid California ’s fate. If anything, the collapse of California can at least serve as a morality play for the rest of the nation – unfortunately in the form of a Greek tragedy.

Usually the “gimme generation” is the generation “Y” crowds of older teens and twenty something’s who are all self absorbed with themselves. But when the term “gimme” comes up I tend to think of “The Greatest Generation” as Tom Brokaw termed them. These are the elderly today who went through the Great Depression and WWII. Two generations sacrificed financially and with their blood. After the war many went to college on the GI Bill and the process of hitting up the government for goodies was firmly engrained in the psyche of the folks.

My grandmother is one of these people. She thinks Hoover was a laze faire corporate shrill and Roosevelt a god. When I point out to her taxes were raised to 55% and federal spending increased 40% under Hoover she just ignores it. When I tell her taxes were raised to 70% and the average unemployment rate was 17.2% under Roosevelt’s miserable 11 year dictatorship she doesn’t believe me. To her and millions of elderly there is nothing wrong the federal government can do. And they have been this way for decades. Dictatorship and fascism go together like ice cream, apple pie and baseball for this generation.

And then comes this half Negro president and his party that has paid them off for generations with social security ponzi schemes (this generation only paid 1.65% tax for SS), Medicaid, Medicare and a whole plethora of government goodies taken form their kids and given to them. And all of a sudden the roles are REVERSED! The half Negro and his fascist buddies are now going to rob Medicaid and enrich politicians and give “THEIR” money to illegal immigrants and Negros! Quite astonishing for these coddled old farts who never meet a government hand out they didn’t like.

Quite similar to the Jews reaction in fascist Italy in 1938 when Hitler told Mussolini to start putting his Jewish supporters in ovens instead of the presidential palace. The Jews were the strongest supporters of fascism both politically and financially and JUST LIKE THAT the fascist turned on them. Boom. And the fascist never looked back. The Jews did end up in the ovens just like the elderly will end up dealing with “Death Panels”.

And what is the lesson in all this? Dictatorships and dictators will use anyone to get that power. You may think (psss 78% of American Jews who supported Obama) you’re on the right side of the dictatorship but it can change literally overnight.

And now the greatest generation has had the dictatorship they have nurtured and created their entire life turn on them. Cry me a river.

It seems we are seeing some pretty desperate moves coming from the Whitehouse of late.

The president is busy scurrying from town to town standing in front of hundreds spouting (ad nauseam) either lies or examples that are drop dead funny.
My favorite was the clip of him comparing UPS, FedX and the Post Office.
None of it furthers his cause of the “Health Care Make Over” very much.

By now the people are more “boned up” on the documents being rushed through congress at the speed of sound and are NOT SO RESPECTFULLY saying NO!

For those of you who follow this blog you know one of my biggest peeves is hypocrisy.
After 8 years of listening to the “Bush Haters” drag out every disrespect known to man against him … I have little respect for these whiners now weeping and wailing as the mass is beginning to shout NO ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to Obama.

What is this latest illegal and desperate move out of the Whitehouse?
SPAM?
I personally received 3 so far one supposedly from the president, one supposedly from the first lady and the 3rd about health care. I did not stop and think seriously about it until all of this hit the fan yesterday.
Otherwise I would have pulled the headers and reported them to SpamCop.
Gee whiz silly me!

Now I am left to wonder where did they mine these email addresses?
Have they joined the hated “spam bots” who crawl websites, blogs, facebook, twitter etc. looking for email addresses that they can spam?
What other clandestine crap are they pulling behind our back that comes from laws passed under Bush and foisted on us under the guise of Homeland Security?

We are beginning to see change all right.
That 1% who pushed Obama into office (falling for the HOPE AND CHANGE CON) are beginning to wake up.
I would be willing to bet if election were held today he would be out on his “patooty” along with Reid, Pelosi, Frank, and the rest of the corrupt crew.

I chuckle at the media who says he is losing ground over the “health reform” … wake up MEDIA he is losing ground because the mass is opening their eyes and screaming “holy cow” … so much for hope and change the guy is simply a “crooked Chicago Politician”. More of the same BLA BLA BLA!

What is the REAL CHANGE on the horizon?
THE PEOPLE are awakened, banding together and are willing to fight for the liberty we have allowed to clandestinely be snatched from our grasp while we were busy earning the money the government is so free to piss off.

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008.. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a “community organizer,” Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East , way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill — a great idea in theory — was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama’s plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be — a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to “protect us” from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America .

I am an insignificant blogger out there who is in desperate need of your re-education camps you will soon be setting up. Much like the communist did in Cambodia and Vietnam after the conflict ended in 1975. You see while I had government indoctrination in my primary and secondary education it seems as though the propaganda didn’t’ take hold in me. I had further government education for my bachelors and masters degree programs but some of the professors were not as complicit as my previous teachers in high school. You see after all my education I came to the politically incorrect conclusion that the federal government is incapable of administering any program more efficiently than the private sector. I even went so far as to register to vote with the Libertarian Party. Surly this party will be banned in the coming years f or their subversive ideas and thoughts.

My first glimpse at the incompetence of federal judges and officials was in the 1970’s in Pontiac, Michigan when my school district was forced to integrate its school system when I was a 5th grader. When the program was started it was Kim by Ya, peace, tranquility, the Age of Aquarius. Academic standards were lowered and I thought it was the greatest thing in the world to not have to study. Really I was quite impressed with this new dumb down system of lower expectations. It made my junior high years really live up to the name junior high all the time years. It was cool missing 30+ days a year and still being moved on to the next grade. Wonderful years filled with gang activity, violence, drugs and getting slapped in the face by all the girls when I approached them. And then it all ended.

I moved in with my father and an all white school district except for one black guy. I was shocked and sober for the first time in my life. These kids dressed nice, studied and the most radical thing they talked about was the latest Kiss concert. It was a complete and total cultural shock. I didn’t know what to do. I had to read books for the first time in years. Russian history? You got to be kidding me! And what was really freaking me out is even though I studied I only got C’s. It was then after I woke up out of my drug induced slumber I began questioning THE GOVERNMENT!

How could they destroy a community all in the name of equality? Whose equality? And who gained? The black kids didn’t gain anything from crappy schools. Sitting next to white kids didn’t improve their IQ any. All it did was encourage gang formation and violence as the two groups fought for dominance. Maybe that’s what the federal judge wanted? A good gang fight? The City of Pontiac was destroyed by busing just as Detroit, Flint, Lansing, Benton Harbor and many others. Anyone with money moved out and the welfare queens moved in.

As I moved through life I saw social security on the verge of bankruptcy. Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill raised my taxes to bail the program out and the “lock box” never materialized. Politicians continue to this day to raid the fund making it an unsustainable program. My Medicaid taxes went up. And my property taxes. It just seems like a never ending cycle of taxes for nothing.

And now you want more from me to pay heath care for illegal aliens and the uninsured. Let me tell you a secret. I was in poverty when I was young. My mother was on every welfare program she=2 0could get signed up for. You know how I escaped the cycle of poverty? My secret? I got a job.

It was a horrible experience at first. I had to show up to work at this office and do these crappy cores all day long. This psychology major with a bad attitude was my boss and he really sucked. It was the pits. Gradually I began to realize these jerks paid me every two weeks. They paid me money. It was really quite shocking. And after 90 days I got medical insurance. Not that I ever used it but they told me it was a valuable thing to have. And there is my secret to you Mr. Obama on how I was able to move into the middle class and get health insurance. I will allow you to use my secret and tell it to the 47 million uninsured if you would like to. I just kind of stumbled on it myself, having no guidance from my school or family. My life experiences as a wise white man make me uniquely qualified and I am honored to pass it along to you a guy who has never worked a day in your life.

Documents uncovered by WND strongly suggest Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham, President Obama’s parents, did not live at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway in Hawaii – even though birth announcements in local newspapers listed that address.

Both newspapers, the Honolulu Advertiser and the Star Bulletin, carried the announcement about the Aug. 4, 1961, birth. Both included the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address.

But WND has confirmed that the house at that street number was owned and occupied in 1961 by another longtime resident Hawaiian couple. Moreover, throughout the time he was in Hawaii, Barack Obama Sr. maintained his own separate apartment at 625 11th Ave. in Kaimuki, within walking distance of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he was enrolled for studies in the fall term 1959.

  fund, with initial cost of $30,800,000,000 (Billions more).

  workforce capacity, lab systems, health information systems, etc.
• Sec. 2511, Pg. 992 – Government will establish school-based “health” clinics. Your
  children will be indoctrinated and your grandchildren may be aborted!

• Sec. 399Z-1, Pg. 993 – School-Based Health Clinics will be integrated into the school
  environment. More government brainwashing in school.
• Sec. 2521, Pg. 1000 – The government will establish a National Medical Device Registry.
  Will you be tracked?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel ” pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land”.

Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, ” Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the promised land”.

Now Obama has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of camels, and mortgaged the promised land.

So far the federal government has allocated $560 million for the cash for clunkers program. Taxpayer money from me and you to people driving older vehicles for one year or more that are not fuel efficient. The $4,500 dollar rebate is a good down payment for people who might not otherwise be able to or want to buy a new car. Where have I hear this before?

Oh President Bush, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Tim Rains and the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac crowd that pushed home ownership to people who were unable to afford the payments. And what will the end result of this cash for clunkers program be? A lot of defaulted car loans. And how will congress act? Some will be happy people are not driving and some will want to bail out the poor car owners that were taken advantage of.

If one asked in 2000 why do some people prefer to rent or are unable to buy a house? The strait answer would be because they couldn’t afford the house payment or were unable to discipline themselves to save up for a down payment. In either case for the individuals and society it was better for them to rent. But Barney Frank and the Fannie crowd had a better idea. The end result was the colossal financial melt down we experienced in 2008.

So why does anyone think clash for clunkers will be any different? People forget it was less than 5% of housing loans that caused the collapse. Now I am not saying the coming car loan defaults will be anywhere near the severity of the housing bubble but don’t be surprised in a couple of years to hear about this again.

The best solution for increasing car sales would be for the federal government to balance its budget and limit the size and scope of its powers. Period.

This socialized health care debate is so stupid I cringe every time the subject appears on television. First let’s dispense of the Democratic Party motive. Money. Another ponzi scheme like social security except in reverse. If you are young you might get treatment but if you are old kiss it goodbye. Basically tax the hell out of the citizens and give the service to those you choose to. Negros, illegal immigrants, minorities, young people and last in line white males and the elderly. Dispense as little heath care as possible and pocket the change.

To reform the system is not complex. Really it’s called capitalism.

1. Medical saving accounts for the young. Require all people under 30 to set up medical savings accounts where they purchase $5,000 deductable health insurance and save 1% of their gross income to be used for medical expenses. The account builds up and when they get older surprise! They have money to cover the deductable. $5,000 deductable insurance for the under 30 crowd would be very inexpensive.

2. Get the leaches out of the system. Limit personal suffering and pain damages to $100,000. Pass a loser pays law for medical lawsuits that require the loser to pay all cost of the lawsuit. Medical liability insurance cost would plummet.

3. Allow both foreign and domestic insurers to sell insurance wherever they want. States could still regulate the companies. Competition both foreign and domestic would drop the obscene 20% monopoly profit margin down to 3% to 6% while increasing service to the people.

4. Eliminate Medicaid and Medicare. Obscene waste of money. Pass laws for people over 65 that insurance companies can only charge one rate for all regardless of pre-existing condition. Require the insurance company to pay 100% of the cost of medical bills over $10,000 so the elderly will not go bust. Take the money from Medicaid, Medicare and any elderly related federal expenses and give them a voucher to buy medical insurance. With national and international insurance providers, reduced liability and a free market the elderly would be much better served than they now are with government run health care.

5. Allow all individual to deduct health care from their taxes the same as corporations do. Encourage individuals to keep their personal insurance policy much the same as we keep our life insurance policies throughout our lives.

6. Pass a law prohibiting the federal government from passing any law related to the medical industry. The federal government in its current configuration is incapable of doing anything positive for the medical industry.

7. Eliminate the monopoly patented time for new drugs. Let the drug companies compete like every other industry without monopoly time for their products. Privatize the Food and Drug Administration so approval is efficient and faster. Seven years and millions of dollars is an unnecessary barrier to entry for new companies that doesn’t need to be there. The FDA needs to get out of the way of progress and let the private sector screen new drugs.

And there you have it. These changes would reduce the percent of the gross domestic product that medical expenses consume from a bloated 17% to around 12%. Efficiencies would go up as insurance companies and medical facilities were forced into competition with each other. The leaches would be gone and only the really bad doctors would be put out of business. And the key as always is to get the federal government out of the way and let the people be free.

It seems that both sides of the political isle SAY they support the constitution. Apparently that support follows AS LONG as the Constitution goes along with either parties whim.

Either we follow the constitution or we don’t. I don’t think the framers felt we could cherry pick what we liked and ignore what we didn’t.

So why the cherry picking of today?
EVERY CITIZEN needs to be deciding DO YOU WANT THE CONSTITUTION … or should it be scrapped totally?

Unfortunately most of the public is not familiar with the writings of old therefore are ignorant of exactly what rights it provides.

Of late there is a skirmish over the legitimate birth certificate of Barack Obama.

Why I am not sure because from my perspective those looking for a legitimate birth certificate in Hawaii is a total waste of time.
WHO CARES?
Apparently enough people to distract the effort from a bigger issue.
How does the 14th amendment define “natural born citizen”.

In order to address this we need to know a little about the 14th amendment, why it was written and who wrote it.

So lets start there.

Who writes an amendment to the Constitution?
According to Article V … amendments are passed by both the Senate and the House. State conventions can be used, but so far have not been. A senator or representative or a committee thereof can write the amendment. The amendment can then be debated until final wording is acceptable.

John Armor Bingham (January 21, 1815 – March 19, 1900) was a Republican congressman from Ohio, America, judge advocate in the trial of the Abraham Lincoln assassination and a prosecutor in the impeachment trials of Andrew Johnson. He is also the principal framer of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Section 1 of the 14th Amendment states:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Most of the 14th amendment weathered debate without much change. Not so for the 1st sentence which defined citizenship.

However John Bingham confirms that understanding and the construction the framers used in regards to birthright and jurisdiction while speaking on civil rights of citizens in the House on March 9, 1866:”[4] [5] [6]

“[I] find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen…. . . ”

The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868.

I suppose we can all argue until the cows come home that somehow THE FRAMERS made a mistake when they defined PARENTS (PLURAL) instad of “A PARENT” as a necessary requirement to being a “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”.

There is little or NO ARGUMENT that a Citizen of the USA can be a Senator or Congress Person … but to be President one MUST BE A” NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”. In order to be “natural born” PARENTS must be BORN OR NATURALIZED citizens of the USA.

I don’t know it seems pretty straight forward to me but then I expect people to say/print what they mean and mean what they say … but them I am a “common sense” type of person aren’t you?

Until the Supreme Court decides to redefine this original statement right out of the “archives of old” as far as I can see (unless I have somehow missed something in my search of these documents) Barack Obama can not qualify as President no matter how you slice it.

So why the skirmish over a birth certificate?
Why is Obama refusing to allow his Hawaiian Birth Certificate to be seen?
Perhaps because while everyone is focused on the … is there or is there not … a birth certificate in Hawaii they fail to realize the true tool to sink his ship is the real cannon ball THE CONSTITUTION provides to do exactly that.

You know the same good ole Constitution that Obama claims to be expert on?

My question is simple … WHY IS ALL MEDIA ignoring this very simple FACT? Where is Bill OReilly who claims he has CHECKED out the Birth certificate issue? Where is Glenn Beck who apparently pours over the constitution? Where is Anne Coulter who is suppose to be versed on Constitutional Law? Where is Sean Hannity who screams about every tiny issue except this one?

I expect the main stream media to ignore this issue. I do not expect it to be ignored by the only side that is SUPPOSE TO BE ADVOCATING FOR WE THE PEOPLE!

Wake up guys there is an issue here and you are all losing credibility by ignoring it.

It does not take rocket scinece to realize sooner or later this has to be addressed … WHY NOT NOW?

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy. Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices – 545 human beings out of the 235 million – are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I excluded all but the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislation’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY

Don’t you see how the con game that is played on the people by the politicians? Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of Tip O’Neill, who stood up and criticized Ronald Reagan for creating deficits.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating appropriations and taxes.

O’neill is the speaker of the House. He is the leader of the majority party. He and his fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetos it, they can pass it over his veto.

REPLACE SCOUNDRELS

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 235 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts – of incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can’t think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in Lebanon, it’s because they want them in Lebanon.

There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take it.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone are responsible. They and they alone have the power. They and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses – provided they have the gumption to manage their own employees.
