Apparently so according to a young Marine at Camp Lejeune.

Kody Brittingham, a 20 year old lance corporal wrote he had taken an oath to “protect against all enemies, both foreign and domestic”. In a signed “letter of intent” tucked away in his barraks he identified a “domestic enemy” he planned to eliminate last winter. That domestic enemy was President Barack Obama.

Brittingham pleaded guilty in August and awaits sentencing on charges of threatening to kill the president.

The controversy remains.

Whatever the answer the crashing of President Obama’s first state dinner by Tareq and Michaele Salahi makes one wonder just where the ball was dropped by allowing these interlopers up close and personal with the president.

My bet is … the breech came from the intersanctum itself and NOT THE SECRET SERVICE.
