‘Birther’ Lawsuit Filed Against Ted Cruz in Texas

John Bingham "natural born citizen"
Hot on the heels of the last GOP debate a lawsuit has been filed challenging the Canadian-born Ted Cruz’s eligibility to be President.

Apparently Donald Trump knows what he is talking about. An I told ya so moment?

Meanwhile Ted Cruz supporters continue INSISTING AGAINST CONSTITUTIONAL FACT that Cruz is a “natural born citizen”.

Is this simply wishful thinking or a hope that no one will know the difference? Cruz argues that because his mother is American, he became a U.S. citizen at birth.

That is correct he did become a “naturalized” U.S. citizen at birth. That however is not a “natural born citizen” which is a requirement according to Article II of the U.S. Constitution.

Here is a copy of the archived House document that clearly points out what “natural born citizen” means. John Armor Bingham speaking in the House on March 9, 1866:”[4] [5] [6]

“[I] find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born WITHIN THE JURISDICTION of the United States of PARENTS not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN…. . . ”

John Armor BinghamIs there any doubt that Bingham who wrote the 14th amendment knew full well EXACTLY what “natural born citizen” meant?

Why is this congressional archived document ignored by so many? If I found it I am sure others could find it also.

The term PARENTS was always plural when I was educated and as far as I know Canada, China, Russia, Cuba, or Mexico are not within the jurisdiction of the USA.

So how does Ted Cruz who himself is an EXPERT on the Constitution think he can simply skate by this issue? It sheds doubt on Cruz’s honesty which is a shame because he is CERTAINLY A QUALIFIED CONSERVATIVE.

85-year-old veteran trial attorney Newton Schwartz Sr. filed a 28-page complaint Thursday, in Houston asking the Supreme Court to decide if Cruz’s birth to an American mother and Cuban father while they lived in Calgary violates the Constitution’s “natural born citizen” requirement.

According to Schwartz a Democrat “The entire nation cannot afford such constitutional confusion and uncertainties overhanging the electorate process,”

Gee I wonder where attorney Schwartz was when Barack Obama also failed the “natural born citizen” requirement? It was just fine that the nations electorate process was confusing?

Anyway the Supreme Court so far has not addressed this issue.
Will they this time?
