Restore & Protect FREE SPEECH on Collage Campuses FOR ALL
The Goldwater Institute developed a robust reform package to restore free speech in American universities and colleges. The measure declares every public university to be a “free-speech zone,” nullifying any existing restrictive free-speech codes in the process. And it empowers state officials to fine university administrators who fail to protect the free speech rights of students. Arizona recently became the first state to restore free speech on campus following these guidelines and other states are following suit.
Here is a quick heads-up that Congress will hear testimony tomorrow (April 4) about these free speech protections. Stanley Kurtz, co-author of reform package and a senior fellow for the Ethics and Public Policy Center, will testify before the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee.
The U.S. House plans to broadcast the subcommittee hearing live on the Internet starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time, Tuesday, April 4. You can watch the hearing HERE:
