AOL HOT SEAT !

There has been a lot of flap about the citizenship of Barack Obama.
Is he or isn’t he … has the nation been scammed again or not?
Fact is we simply do not know.

What we do know is the MSM has miserably dropped the ball on this.
For those that I have talked with do not even have a clue there is a question.
A vast majority do not know the difference between a citizen and a “natural born citizen”.
Those that begin to understand are NOW concerned that Obama is not being forthcoming with his records.
A smaller fringe does not care if he is or is not simply because they love the guy no matter what.

Do I find this a problem?
You bet and you should find it a problem too.

Why?
Because for whatever reason we have a President Elect who thinks he is above following the law.

Well apparently main stream is beginning to wake up.

AOL has been running a poll.
The question is:
Do you think there is any merit to the controversy surrounding Barack Obama’s citizenship?
51% say yes
43% say no
6% do not know

The interesting thing is where and who thinks what.
IL, NY, VT, RI, CT, DE, MD and DC all think no.

If you want to join into the little poll? Here ya go.

60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)

For all those ladies over 40 (for those under 40, its okay, you’ll achieve this status soon enough).

In case you missed it on 60 Minutes, this is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40:

60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)

As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, ‘What are you thinking?’ She doesn’t care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch the game, she doesn’t sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it’s usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified.

They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won’t hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved.

They know what it’s like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthr ight and honest. They’ll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don’t ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.
Unfortunately, it’s not reciprocal.

For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress.

Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, ‘Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’, here’s an update for you.

Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage.
Why?
Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!

Prominent neoconservative: 4,000 Americans ‘had to die’
David Edwards and Diane Sweet

Headline Dec. 17,2008 at rawstory.com

“Four thousand American troops “had to die” in Iraq, even if the United States knew Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction, a prominent neoconservative said in a shocking interview on MSNBC Tuesday evening.

Vice President Dick Cheney told ABC News earlier this week that the U.S. would have invaded Iraq regardless of whether or not they had weapons of mass destruction.”

Hindsight is 20/20.

Fact: Today in Iraq a Journalist can pelt the President of the USA and not be beheaded.

I have to wonder if the people of the USA understood Hussain had biological weapons that where being readied to use here in America would their viewpoint on the war be altered.

What Chaney said:

Hardball:

Bush shoe-thrower ‘too injured’ to appear in court?
So says his brother.

True or not true … there seem to be conflicting stories.

The moral being … lucky he still has a head.

I have to wonder if there would be more outrage had tomatoes and eggs been lobbed a Obama?

Somehow I think we would have a resounding YES to that.

In the five weeks since Election Day, Obama’s once-cohesive Web presence has fragmented into a jumble of sometimes disparate-feeling fundraising pitches, YouTube videos and calls for activism spread across three websites.

Some are complaining they are tired of the Spam.

Bush gets pelted with shoes!

For those “human rights advocates” as well as the “anti-war protestors” it should be noted that the war has produced some progress in Iraq. Under Saddam Hussain this journalist would have been quickly hauled to the woodshed and beheaded. Could the moral of the story be “the death penalty” works. It either stops the problem or disposes of it.

Rush Limbaugh talking sense?
Where indeed is all of this money coming from? Could it be “we the people”? Nahhh … I know its the money fairy!

Spin? No Spin? or Simply the truth?

Rachael Maddow: Attempt by Right to Link Obama and Blagojevich.

Now after a week I have to wornder if Obama is indeed laughing over this situation?

ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer – Special Report “Made in America”

“Made in America” is suddenly trending.

ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer just completed a terrific week long special on “Made in America.” All week long their website, Facebook, Twitter accounts were all a buzz with chatter on the issue. It certainly seemed to strike a chord with many Americans and shed some much needed light on a very important issue that we live, sleep, eat and breathe here at Made in USA Certified.

We want to say “Thank you” to ABC World News for the coverage as we couldn’t be more grateful to the sudden interest by main stream media on this very important & relevant topic. Manufacturing is so critical to our countries prosperity and growth. “Manufacturing supports an estimated 18.6 million jobs in the U.S. – about one in six private sector jobs. Nearly 12 million Americans (or 9 percent of the workforce) are employed directly in manufacturing.”*Taken from the National Association of Manufacturers

ABC in their in-depth week long special chronicled a family that wanted to re-do their home with all-American goods and the challenges they faced in doing so. What they found as many of us have known- it is difficult to find “Made in USA” these days. Most all of the big box stores we typically frequent are filled to the brim with products all NOT “Made in USA”.

So, for a typical consumer it can be daunting and time consuming to find items for your family and your home that are “Made in USA”……Possible??? YES!

ABC has a great source of video’s, information, articles, an interactive map, list of websites, all located on their site: World News- Made in America Series – This is a great place to start, if you missed this informative week long broadcast, you can catch each segment and more- here.

One of the things they found in their quest to furnish a home with all-American products is that “Made in USA” is thriving on-line. Due to the fact that all the big box stores, have opted to go for lower priced outsourced goods in favor of larger profits—the “Made in USA” products have been driven to the on-line community where all most anything you could possibly want can be found on-line at one of the many websites containing- ‘Made in USA’ products. To view a list of websites that ABC compiled go here: Made in America Resource Guide to Find American Companies

Another great resource is ABC’s interactive map: ABC Interactive Map- Where are the American Companies?

We encourage all of you to think about your purchases, try to Buy American when possible, speak to your local retailers- encourage them to sell more products ‘Made in USA’.

There’s no question that manufacturing still has a major impact on our economy and on the nation’s workforce. If every American spent an extra $3.33 on U.S.-made goods, it would create almost 10,000 new jobs in this country. Take the ‘Made in America’ Pledge TODAY and support our U.S. manufacturers.
