The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in Jan 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this: January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the House:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?

BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment…to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie, starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for our economy. Barney blocked it and called it a “Chicken Little Philosophy” (and the sky really did fall!)

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? BARACK OBAMA

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!

So when someone tries to blame Bush…

Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats had the gas pedal and steering wheel… They (the Democrats) were the ones driving the economy into the ditch.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2008-2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending since the War on Terror began. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself, and a Democratic Congress!

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is “I inherited a deficit that I voted for, and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th, 2009.“

KILL THE BILL Reid is now in charge of the Boehner House Bill.

We can expect it to be KILLED on order of Barack Obama and Harry Reid. I assume Reid is expected to kill it in order to save the Obama hide. Obama having to veto it himself would only drive a few more nails into his re-election coffin lid.

Meanwhile our A++ credit rate will be downgraded because in order to hold it where it is we have to cut AT LEAST 4 TRILLION (FOR STARTS) according to Moody’s

Only the daffed (which apparently includes all of Congress as well as Obama) do not get piling on more debt and raising the debt ceiling DO NOT QUALIFY.

Gee Bat Man … I was wondering how long it would take markets to wake up and start to tank.

WHAT?
The U.S. 10-year Treasury bond – took a nose dive today?
The mornings fixed-income markets verged on collapse?
Now that was a shock don’t ya think?

Do you suppose investors have finally decided this is real-time “world economy serious”?

Meanwhile “kill the bill” Harry is oblivious to the issue. It appears to be politics as usual … SPEND, SPEND, SPEND … while he is saying we are going to CUT, CUT, CUT?

It is most likely we are headed for another 2008 money crisis.
Well the silver lining in all of this is … we the average Joe really do not have that far to fall.

While Obama, Reid and crew are on the verge of A SERIOUS DECLINE IN THEIR OWN WEALTH.

Yes America deserves better than a government with a weak leader that appears to have lost his “common sense” when he became President.

In 2006 Obama did not want to raise the debt ceiling.

Today he has changed his mind and suddenly a 5.3 TRILLION DOLLAR raise over the 900 BILLION he objected to 5 years ago is an emergency.

AN EMERGENCY raise laid directly on the back of a Democratic controlled congress from 2006 until 2010 with a Democratic President between 2008 until 2011.

It is time our sniveling, whining President “man up” and quit blaming the kitchen “tea pot” for problems caused by his party as well as HE HIMSELF.

It is time the Republicans get out of the “paper bag mode” and quit folding to his 4 year old temper tantrums.

And what Harry Reid had to say in March of 2006.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.

It is a sign the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills.

It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies.

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and Internationally.

Leadership means ‘the buck stops here.’

Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today to the backs of our children and grandchildren.

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.

America deserves better.”

Last but not least.

Moody’s Investors Service warned today 7/14/2011 that it might downgrade the United States government’s sterling credit.

Does that really matter? Does the government think those who have extra cash to spend on Treasuries (except for our own FED who runs a printing press 24/7) don’t understand we are on the verge of a NATIONAL SPENDING COLLAPSE?

It seems that Al Gore (and his invention of the internet) was the one who brought into vogue the reinvention of ones own history.

Here is one sent my way about Harry Reid.

I almost fell on the floor laughing at the spin from his staff.

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher here in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree.

She discovered that Harry Reid’s great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889.

Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory.

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription:

‘Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.’

So Judy recently e-mailed Congressman Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.

Believe it or not, Harry Reid’s staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:

‘Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed.’

There ya have it folks thats how it’s done in Washington.

Clearly the ‘Washington Wingnuts’ have forgot just who pays their over inflated salaries.

I just emailed a friend that daily when I boot my laptop I feel like a deer hunter with a stampeding herd of bucks headed my way and do not know which I need for dinner. The government has more crap going on than the proverbial Christmas Goose.

Chuck Schumer on the Senate floor Tuesday was quick to malign the public for burning the telephone wires to a frazzle over the PORK FILLED bill trudging to completion so it can serve as the next “OBAMA PHOTO OP” for the slobbering masses. While the ‘midget minded’ San Fran Nan insists there are NO ‘pet projects or ear marks’. I am not sure who is the parrot Obama or Pelosi on this issue. It does not matter except clearly both think the population is below stupid to believe either one of them.

We the people are now relegated to the ‘chattering class’ which sort of reminds me of the comment ‘let them eat cake’ uttered by Marie-Antoinette before she was marched to the guillotine.

Daily it is more clear this renegade government feels they are comfortable thieves in charge.
This tiny trillion? What can they be thinking. How about a resounding THEY ARE NOT. I suppose the next thing that comes to mind is do they have the capability to put more than one THINKING word together in order to form a sentence. PROBABLY NOT!

Obama asks “what’s wrong with replacing the government fleet of cars with new green ones”?
Gee how about the GOVERNMENT IS BROKE? Or fine fund it out of your OWN POCKET … in fact pass the collection plate starting with Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank and anyone else thinking this is a stunningly great idea? Maybe ask Geitner and Daschel to kick in the penalties they both WERE NOT REQUIRED OR FAILED to pay on their little tax frauds?

Let’s see what we still have:

$300 million for new “green” golf carts for government workers … now that is certainly a must have while the private sector scrambles for their next scrambled egg for the family.

The Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas magnetic levitation train … Harry Reid’s PET PROJECT … is defined as what now? Oh I get it an emergency solution to the problem at hand … you know the loss of jobs, homes and food?

$1 billion was added back for Prevention & Wellness Programs, including STD education.

Is it becoming evident here these politicians are tossing around BILLIONS OF OUR MONEY as if it were nothing.

I say today and will continue to say. WE THE PEOPLE need to apply some BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION here.
INSIST those who think up this PORK fund it themselves out of their very own pockets starting with OBAMA himself.

Take a look at this little snip from Chuck Schumer on the stimulus.

At what point did Schumer fall out of the loop? Is he simply deluded or somehow has he failed to notice the majority of people in the USA DO NOT WANT THIS PACKAGE!

Not on your life! It was never intended to do that it was a front for “payoff your buddies time”. Thank heavens the Democrats are use to the population being silent. How nice the public is finally looking at the scum on the bottom of the pail and insisting on exactly what it is SCUM.

It is mind boggling when you wonder if those in charge of the government are plain stupid or simply corrupt.
I suppose we could consider they are both. One thing is crystal clear they think (or at least hope) ‘we the people’ are stupid. They well could be right until now. It looks like we are fast waking up to what really is going on in the government today.

If the crisis has done one thing it has riled the public base. That base who overwhelmingly knew a 700 billion dollar program (that was an emergency so we were told) was sheer idiocy STUFFED DOWN their gullets. Now has another EMERGENCY being again rammed through.

Has Barack Obama screwed himself while in the process of screwing the public?
Is he to blame?
He campaigned on change well we have change alright. One cabinet member who thinks supporting the pardon of one of the most wanted criminals and a group of terrorists is perfectly fine … he is now remorseful. Two more tax evaders who are also remorseful.
Why the remorse after all this time?
Because they got caught and if they did not show some semblance of remorse could not get the elevated political promotions they seek?

Much of the public was skeptical about the judgment capabilities of Barack Obama.
We no longer have to be skeptical do we?
In living real time color we now all know the mans judgment totally sucks.

That ‘slurping sucking’ sound is not just the lack of ‘ethical standards’ one expects from someone in this high office slipping down the drain. It is the sucking of your money right out of your wallet by way of the pork barrel HOAX ‘stimulus plan’ that he EXPECTS EVERYONE to support.

I had to wonder just how long it would take Obama to realize just how screwed he is.
History is an interesting thing. Time levels out almost everything. 50 maybe even less (like 10 years down the road) it will be interesting what history has to say about Obama.
Do I think he cares?
You bet!
For the few short weeks he has been in office he is panning out to be a disaster.
If not for most of us shortly certainly his children, your and mine not to mention the generations to come.

People say we can not blame Obama … it’s Pelosi, Reid and Obey (another dubious character giving handouts of OUR MONEY to his sons special interest).
Where does the BUCK STOP?
Well every BUCK in the USA stopped with Bush so it is only fair this BUCK stops at Obama. Since part of what Obama preached from the ‘campaign pulpit’ was his ability to hit the ground running … either he hit it on the economy or he didn’t. With all that faces us today its pretty clear HE DID NOT or he just hoped the public was to dumb to care or pay attention.

An extremely interesting thing is occurring.
The media that dropped to their knees in a definitely lopsided reverent praise of Obama was a wake up call. Much of the public NOW understands they can no longer TRUST the media for anything. I find it interesting how FINALLY a backlash is beginning to surface. EVERYONE/ANYONE can get a blog they are FREE. If you can type your voice can be heard.
Part of the public is beginning to shriek. More are shrieking daily.

Does the government care?
You bet they care!
You pay the bills. You have the power to send them packing into the unemployment lines where many of them deserved to be years long past.
Do not be surprised if the next assault is on our FREE speech rights.
Much of the public could not tell you what the Bill of Rights offers us as citizens.
THEY DO know about the right to free speech.
Wait until the government tries to pull the plug there.
It could be the deciding straw.

I have heard people say “I can do nothing”. I guess we should define nothing. NOTHING is sitting watching TV and screaming at it daily. NOTHING is being in denial that WORSE will not happen because AMERICA is to big, bold and tough.

What can each and every one of you do that literally COSTS you NOTHING?
USE YOUR VOICE and the brain that runs it.

It does NOT MATTER what side of the isle you sit on.
Kick your mind into gear and THINK AND THEN VOICE THAT THOUGHT.
I bet at least you will feel a little bit better.
