Main stream media clue less!

I was interested in what the reports would be over the tea-party on the 15th. Since much of the prelude to the event was being played down by the MSM.

President Obama was not aware of the tea-parties according to whitehouse representatives?
I find that a little hard to believe. If this is true what can we the people think of the situation? I would think a good leader would certainly be AT LEAST aware of what was going on at the grass roots of the country he is SUPPOSE to be running.

Take a look at Susan Roesgen of CNN in the midst of a tea-party crowd in Ill. Looks like Susan was trying (SHE FAILED) to whip up a little confrontation of her own. No wonder CNN is close to bust with both feet on a banana peel. Where on earth do these networks dig these people up? Were they missing in action when common sense were passed out? Clearly this woman was.

Next I whipped over to MSNBC and who should I run into but my favorite Keith Olbermann. I jest of course. I have seen nothing of Keith Olbermann that points to good journalist, commentator, reporter or anything of the kind. Those that pay his salary are being screwed royally. Apparently that does not matter and again may be the cause of this networks decline in the ratings also. Who in their right mind would watch this guy day in and day out?

Over the coarse of an hour Olbermann referred to the tea-party gathering as having a few hundred people. Diminish the impact apparently was the goal. Instead Olbermann comes off as being ignorant, stupid, deceptive or just a plain liar. Most likely all.

Apparently Olbermann and our own President are clue less about these tea-parties. They started at the GRASSROOTS by ordinary people who were flat fed up with EVERYONE in government. They are flat fed up with the Olbermanns in the media who think THEY CONTROL what “we the people” think or do.

I personally have watched this developing for several months. The GOP, Fox News or high powered politicians WERE NOT behind it. (no matter how much the opposition wishes it were true.) Most of the tea-party movement organizers haven’t ever organized, or even participated, in a protest rally before. General disgust has drawn a lot of people off the sidelines and into the political arena, and they are already planning for political action after today. The sleeping giant has awakened and is not likely to do another Rip Van Winkle in the near future.

All of the BULL**** foisted around on the networks show how worried they are. We the people … you and I, the Joe the Plumbers of the world are radical extremists. NO WE ARE NOT! We are every day people who are tired of being pushed around by the ELITE BUBBLE HEADS in Washington who have done this to long with little or no VIABLE OPPOSITION.

There were tea-parties all over the USA. It is estimated there were 300,000 attendees. Somehow that is a little more than the few hundreds reported by Olbermann don’t ya think?

Then we have the Huffington Post and Andy Ostray.
His latest take on the tea-party movement:
Tea Parties: GOP Once Again Manipulating the Average Joe

Dear old Andy thinks the average Joe is simply some ignorant hack that can be dragged around forever by a nose ring and say nothing FOREVER.

Get a grip Andy … wake up and smell the real coffee.

Here is a comment I left on his post … he monitors all comments so doubtful it will see light of day unless he is shamed into it by this entry into this blog:

Andy,

It would be refreshing if you knew and reported the facts rather than your opinion or concept of what is going on.

The tea-parties are exactly what they are suppose to be. Grassroots everyday folks who are tired to the teeth of being shafted by the government (BOTH PARTIES). Get use to it … it’s not going away.

Fox News, the GOP and some of the smarter Democrats will follow the movement and even join in if they are smart.

I have watched this grow now for over 3 months. It is pushed by ordinary people who are FED UP. Now you can snivel, whine and gnash your teeth all you like (free speech you know?) in the end it is wasted effort … but nice try.

Olbermann’s plastic ivy

I know how so many people rant and rave about Ann Coulter and how abrasive she can be. All of that is true. But personally I love her. She is bright, witty, but most of all NEVER succumbs to the crap foisted her way.

I have long thought the Republicans who sat idle while the Democrats threw mud on EVERYONE for the slightest thing were cowards. It’s kind of like the bully beating up the little guy and everyone doing nothing. COWARDLY and STUPID are the words that pop into my mind.

Onto the scene walks Ann Coulter picks up the gauntlet and starts firing back. OH MY the snivels, whines, shrieks and wails that arise in the wake of her presence.

Her latest column on Keith Olbermanm caused me to roll on the floor laughing. I do not watch his network … the few times I caught him only a nano second passed when I realized he flat lies. One significant time he was telling his audience what someone had said while the words of that person were posted on a split screen. Since neither his words or meaning matched that of the person who said them … it was clear Olberman figured the mass failed reading 101 or maybe he simply thought no one but the hearing impaired read the screen at all.

I came away with two thoughts.
DOES HE CARE HE JUST EXPOSED HIMSELF AS A BLATANT LIAR?
HOW STUPID IS THIS GUY?

After reading the Coulter piece yesterday … apparently more stupid that he hopes the public will ever know.

I could not resist posting it here for all of you to enjoy also.

anncoulterFortunately, we have Keith Olbermann to point out that Rush Limbaugh did not accurately quote the Preamble to the Constitution in his CPAC speech last weekend. I’m not sure what scam Olbermann imagined Rush was trying to put over on the American people by saying conservatives believed in the “Preamble to the Constitution” and then quoting words from the Declaration of Independence – but Olbermann put an end to that cruel deception!

These small-time opportunities to show off by correcting someone else’s teeny-tiny mistakes are the lifeblood of Olbermann’s MSNBC show, “Countdown.” Olbermann is no more capable of not correcting Rep. Charlie Rangel when he said “inferred,” but meant “implied,” than an obsessive compulsive could pass a sink without washing his hands.

There is utterly no purpose to these lame “gotchas,” except that Olbermann is so desperately insecure that he is willing to waste valuable airtime to convince other status-conscious idiots that he is, like, scary-smart.

Olbermann relentlessly attacked low-level Bush administration employee Monica Goodling for not going to a name-dropping college, saying – approximately 1 million times – that she got her law degree “by sending 100 box tops to Religious Lunatic University.”

olbermannI would venture to say that the students at Goodling’s law school at Regent University are far more impressive than those at the Cornell agriculture school – the land-grant, non-Ivy League school Keith attended.

I wouldn’t mention it, except that Olbermann savages anyone who didn’t go to an impressive college. As it happens, he didn’t go to an impressive college, either.

If you’ve ever watched any three nights of his show, you know that Olbermann went to Cornell. But he always forgets to mention that he went to the school that offers classes in milking and bovine management.

Indeed, Keith is constantly lying about his nonexistent “Ivy League” education, boasting to Playboy magazine, for example: “My Ivy League education taught me how to cut corners, skim books and take an idea and write 15 pages on it, and also how to work all day at the Cornell radio station and never actually go to class.”

Except Keith didn’t go to the Ivy League Cornell; he went to the Old MacDonald Cornell.

The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences (average SAT: 1,325; acceptance rate: 1 in 6 applicants), is the only Ivy League school at Cornell and the only one that grants a bachelor of arts degree.

cornell-llamaKeith went to an affiliated state college at Cornell, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (average SAT: about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina; acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants).

Olbermann’s incessant lying about having an “Ivy League education” when he went to the non-Ivy League ag school at Cornell would be like a graduate of the Yale locksmithing school boasting about being a “Yale man.”

Among the graduates of the Ivy League Cornell are Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Thomas Pynchon, Paul Wolfowitz, E.B. White, Sanford I. Weill, Floyd Abrams, Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Ginsburg, Janet Reno, Henry Heimlich and Harold Bloom.

Graduates of the ag school include David LeNeveu of the Anaheim Ducks, Mitch Carefoot of the Phoenix RoadRunners, Darren Eliot, former professional hockey player and Joe Nieuwendyk, multiple Stanley Cup winner.

One begins to understand why Harvard students threw a chicken on the ice during Cornell’s famous rout of Harvard at a 1973 hockey game.

If you actually want to pursue a career related to agriculture, there is no better school than the Cornell ag school. I have nothing but admiration for the farmers and aspiring veterinarians at the ag school. They didn’t go there just to have “Cornell” on their resumes.

In addition to the farmers, there are some smart kids who go to the ag school – as there are at all state universities. But most people who majored in “communications” at an ag school don’t act like Marshall Scholars or go around mocking graduates of Regent University Law School.

The sort of insecurity that would force you to always say “trebled” instead of “tripled” could only come from a communications major with massive status anxiety, like Keith. Without even looking it up, I am confident that Harvard, Yale and Princeton do not offer degrees in “communications.” I know there is no “communications” major at the Ivy League Cornell.

“Communications” is a major, along with “recreation science,” most commonly associated with linemen at USC. But at least the linemen can throw a football, which Keith cannot because his mother decided he was not physically robust enough to play outdoors as a child.

It may seem cruel to reveal the true college of someone who already wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat worried that he’s a fraud. But I believe that by pointing out that Olbermann actually is a fraud, I am liberating him.

You may not realize it now, Keith, but you will look back on this day and say, “That was the best thing that ever happened to me!”

Finally, you can stop pretending that you went to the hard-to-get-into Cornell.

Now you won’t have to quickly change the subject whenever people idly remark that they didn’t know it was possible to major in “communications” at an Ivy League school.

No longer will you have to aggressively bring up Cornell when it has nothing to do with the conversation.

Relax, Keith. Now you can let people like you for you.

Donofrio vs Obama discussed by Olbermann on MSNBC

December 9, 2008
Posted by clinicalthinker @ 11:43 AM

Yesterday my cousin mentioned a blurb she happened to hear on TV about up and coming comments on the Obama “natural born citizen” SCOTUS ruling .. Keith Olbermann was mentioned. Since I have heard nothing on MSM (main stream media) about this issue I set my DVR to record his show.

The segment started like this:
The idea that Barack Obama is not actually a “natural born citizen” of this country is so ridiculous ….

(you can review the video for yourself below) Olbermann has set the tone so what followed was not much of a surprise.

The point that I found most interesting was a comment from David Horowitz … the comment directly below has comments that came to mind as I was listening (remember I talk to the TV).

Below that you will see the Horowitz comment intact.

“The continuing efforts of a fringe group of conservatives to deny Obama his victory and to lay the basis for the claim that he is not a legitimate president is embarrassing and destructive. ”

How about being aware that the “fringe group” is actually a “Loyal American Fringe” (and growing) concerned about the Constitution itself?

“What difference does it make to the future of this country whether Obama was born on US soil?”

WHAT DIFFERERENCE DOES IT MAKE? … that pretty much explains Horowitz’s thought process … loyalty lies not with the Constitution and the intent of our founding fathers.

What matters Mr. Horowitz is … if that person is actually a “natural born citizen” or simply a “citizen of the USA”. One qualifies as President one DOES NOT.

“Advocates of this destructive campaign will argue that the constitutional principle regarding the qualifications for President trumps all others.”

At this point my jaw is dropping realizing Horowitz does not seem to comprehend how destructive HIS ATTITUDE toward this matter is to the Constitution.

“But how viable will our Constitution be if 5 Supreme Court justices should decide to void 64 million ballots?”

How viable will the Constitution be if they DO NOT?
How viable it is without “SOMEONE” vetting the worthiness of our most high HEAD OF STATE?

” … It is not conservatism: it is sore loserism and quite radical in its intent.”

It is neither. It is LOYAL AMERICA tired to the teeth of those like HOROWITZ, OLBERMANN, HUFFINGTON and a myriad of others foisting their agenda on a population who thinks they are getting nightly news rather than “self interest propaganda“.

“Respect for election results is one of the most durable bulwarks of our unity as a nation.”

I agree!

“Conservatives need to accept the fact that we lost the election and get over it;”

NO LOYAL AMERICANS do not have to accept someone who is does not meet the specified requirements of the Constitution.

“and get on with the important business of reviving our country’s economy and defending its citizens, and – by the ways– its Constitution.”

There is no more important business than making sure the Constitution REMAINS in tact and the highest office of our land not be usurped by someone “without credentials”

David Horowitz
National Review Online

I am not sure if MSNBC has altered the content or context of this comment to fit their agenda since I was not able to find the original on the National Review Online site. Two things lead me to speculate on this one of them being the tone of Olbermann himself.

EDIT: It was not entact view the whole article HERE.

“The continuing efforts of a fringe group of conservatives to deny Obama his victory and to lay the basis for the claim that he is not a legitimate president is embarrassing and destructive. ….What difference does it make to the future of this country whether Obama was born on US soil? Advocates of this destructive campaign will argue that the constitutional principle regarding the qualifications for President trumps all others. But how viable will our Constitution be if 5 Supreme Court justices should decide to void 64 million ballots? … It is not conservatism: it is sore loserism and quite radical in its intent. Respect for election results is one of the most durable bulwarks of our unity as a nation. Conservatives need to accept the fact that we lost the election, and get over it; and get on with the important business of reviving our country’s economy and defending its citizens, and — by the way — its Constitution.”

David Horowitz

Arianna Huffington weighs in on the issue stating “I am not a national born citizen”.
Well that was a “no brainer” since both parents are Greek and she herself was born in Athens. So the question remains does Arianna REALLY know what “natural born citizen” means?
Arianna seemed stuck on the line “whether Barack Obama is a “natural born citizen” or not”. To her that was totally unacceptable “its like saying whether the earth is flat or not”.

I found that comment an interesting analogy since we know ONE is NOT and it appears the other is NOT also.

But then it is easy to laugh off the Huffington logic as no logic at all.

Below you will find the whole video clip from the Olbermann show:

Donofrio outlines his argument concisely on his blog in a letter to ABC News:

“The main argument of my law suit alleges that since Obama was a British citizen – at birth – a fact he admits is true, then he cannot be a “natural born citizen”. The word “born” has meaning. It deals with the status of a presidential candidate “at birth”.

Obama had dual nationality at birth. The status of the candidate at the time of the election is not as relevant to the provisions of the Constitution as is his status “at birth.” If one is not “born” a natural born citizen, he can never be a natural born citizen.”
