The Moral Liberal

Someone commented on one of the articals today. I always follow the links left by that person and this one was especially worthwhile. So I am putting a clip of what was written and you can choose to read the whole artical.

In my opinion it is worth the read.

Conservative Momentum Continues To Build.
By Christopher G. Adamo

With less than a month to go before the November elections, a political Tsunami seems imminent. Despite Democrat denial of the overwhelming public rejection of the liberal agenda, evidence mounts daily suggesting that “We the People” fully intend to make their pro-America, anti-statist sentiments known on November 2.

Massive infusions of cash from leftist endowments, endless stumping by Barack Obama, and the incessant drumbeat of liberal media lapdogs notwithstanding, the combined authority of those innumerable small voices from “Tea Parties” during the past eighteen months has all-but drowned out the liberal “mainstream” spin. The commonly proffered viewpoint of only a few years ago, namely that the nation was deliberately and irreversibly shifting to left, is now in complete disrepute.

We The People!

This is a great video that rings true for most of the visitors to this site.
It is what drives the vast majority of the “Tea Party”.

It is also important to understand President Obama DOES NOT give a fig about what “We the People” want, care about or hope will happen to our country.

We the people need to understand he has ONE AGENDA no matter what he says or who he blames for out situation. That agenda is to DESTROY OUR NATION as it was created … TO BE FREE!

He has MINIONS who follow his lead.
Both Republican as well as Democrats.
YOU HAVE THE POWER to make real change.
DO YOU HAVE THE WILL?

More government bloat does not employ YOU!

Every day when I turn on the TV there is another jaw dropping story out of Washington. Why should any of us expect anything else? Daily it becomes increasingly clear that Barack Obama has the poorest judgment of any President to date.

I watched a speech by Obama today who clearly shows his frustration over the lack of cooperation for the feigned emergency stimulus package. Yes ‘we the people’ are suppose to be shaking in our boots because a bloated piece of junk is being resisted by the majority of Republicans. What can I say but thank heavens. “We the people” need to collect and donate to oust from office EVERY PERSON who votes for this piece of junk.

Obama DOES NOT GET IT … he is CLUE LESS. The public does not want this package. It is not emergency relief it is long term bankruptcy for our children and grandchildren.

None of this is rocket science. In fact it is not even more than 4th grade math. Dump this package and start over. People are losing jobs by the minute and with that the shelter over their heads. Frizby parks, money for abortions overseas and doggie trails is not helping in these critical areas.

To date a couple of “totally cheesy” pieces of pork have been dumped … hear my words IT IS NOT ENOUGH !

Does anyone but me notice Obama is being lead around by a nose ring like some prize bull?
The more than dense Nancy Pelosi (known as San Fran Nan by Ann Coulter) and her cohorts seem to be holding the rope.

immelt
Next comes Jeffery Immelt being appointed to an advisory money position. This guy has been in charge while the stock of GE has dropped like a rock in a pond. We can not forget he was trading arms to Iran. Should this guy be arrested for treason or what? What kind of advisor could he make.
What kind of decision making ability does this display for Obama?

nashiriThen we have Obama dismissing the charges of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri the mastermind behind the Cole bombing.
My new catch phrase for the day is “are you frigging CRAZY?”. It is looking like he is … and that comment is fast on the way to being the only comment I use to define Obama.

What does all of this boil down to?
Plain and simple this bloat is creating bigger government by the second.
More government people to vote to feather their own nest by a job that offers good retirement and perks (which not one of them could get in the public sector).
If we end up with a $850 billion barrel … how much does it cost to implement it?
OVER A TRILLION more?

Why would we expect someone who REFUSES to release his own records for public scrutiny to be honest?

RAISE YOUR VOICE!

Yes, I too am a clinical thinker!

My political awareness began in 1960 as a youngster sitting on my father’s lap watching Walter Cronkite report the news during the  John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon campaigns. My father, while not an immigrant was JFK’s age, and like him was an Irish Catholic. There was an immediate connection between my family and the soon to be leader of the “New Frontier”.

Much in common?

Not so much in common?

My maternal family were all immigrants, having come through Ellis Island. They came here not for religious freedom nor for political freedom, but to the greatest country in the world to give their families a better life. Anything was possible in America. Land of the free, home of the brave. A government ”of the people, by the people, and for the people”.

I wonder now; given the “state of the union” and the “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” what decision they would make in 2008.    They loved being Americans and their naturalization was the source of great celebration. They voted religiously, getting someone to  interpret for them when they didn’t understand an issue.

My grandmother’s last vote was in 1996, at 95 years old. She would have considered it a mortal sin not to vote in an election. My mother’s first vote was in 2008 at the age of 86. She who lived through the great depression, through the civil rights movement, (she was a civil rights activist in her stay at home mom sort of way), and had a son serve in the military during Vietnam was thrilled that she cast her first vote ever for the first African American to become President of the United States.

She describes it as the most important thing she could ever have voted for. He gave her hope for the renewal of the America her family had ventured across seas to be a part of. Her reasons for not voting prior to this election are to remain hers.

Politics were “table topics” in our home and often still are. During the early 1960′s talk was of the beginning of the Peace Corps, Man on the Moon, Civil Rights, Vietnam, Cuban Missile Crisis, and Charles de Gaulle. Today it is hope, change, despair and often followed by a longing for when it wasn’t as corrupt, as scandalous, and elected officials crimes aren’t the breaking news of the day).

During the 60′s I sat intent on soaking up all I could about American politics and how great America was. I hadn’t even started having history lessons in school yet and I was addicted. I questioned anyone who was willing to listen and began making up my own mind about what their opinions meant to me and to the world.

Smiling politely to all who answered my inquiring mind, I walked away with my own opinions.   I was teased from the time I was very young that I would make a great politician because of the logic of my arguments. I could see the amazement from my parents and family members when I felt brave enough to voice those political beliefs and thoughts.  I became a clinical thinker long before I knew the philosophical differences between a Republican and a Democrat.

While I have been clinically trained to keep passion and emotion away from my thinking in order to avoid becoming an idealogical conspiratorial thinker, I remain at this time, in this moment,  a clinical thinker that screams at political corruption, partisan politics, partisan political spins that the “spinner” believes I will “blindly see”  as the one, holy, apolostolic truth of their partisan political BS, while they continue to formulate their every press release to further their ideolgical position. Be it left or right, cut the crap, you sound ridiculous when you spin the truth to further partisan beliefs.

After years of being politically active in various local and state campaigns for a variety of candidates, of varied political idealogy, I walked away from that involvement. Until somewhat recently, I have simply kept a “mindseye” on the machine called government. I have ranted and raged about “spin”, corruption, partisanship, self serving elected officials, being considered unAmerican or antiAmerican because of my views on the war.

Called unpatriotic by those who consider my views of the past 8 years just that. I believe in the Constitution of the United States and its preservation. Its’ intent. Its’ integrity. I can now no longer “simply be” and share my rantings with other clinical thinkers. I must lend myself to making a difference through real political activism. To quote a famous movie line, “I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore.” It is time for us to STAND & BE COUNTED, TAKE BACK GOVERNMENT, RENEW OUR HOPE, FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION, and see AMERICA’S GREATNESS RESTORED.

I believe that:

We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union…must RAISE OUR VOICES!

Another clinical thinker and I know from experience that when we do, we can fall buildings.

Please join the movement to make this country once again “we the people” and a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people”. Join the blog, or contact your elected officials and remind them that you are watching their every move carefully,  that you are prepared to work to unseat them if they fail to serve the public trust as an elected official, that if they cast one self serving vote, accept one tainted dollar, sell one vote, or they act or believe that being a member of Congress exempts them from acting with honor and integrity because their fellow associates will allow this behavior, REMIND THEM THAT YOU WILL NOT.

Wake up and take your country back!

We the people have allowed our country to be taken over by a “good ole boy” system.
The majority of “we the people” are middle of the road individuals.
We are not republicans, democrats or even independents.
We ARE eclectic!
We take a little bit from here and a little bit from there and we become UNIQUE.
We are lumped into a few groups because there are not that many choices.
When we speak we speak with our vote.
Much of the time we do not speak at all.
We sit silent (the true silent majority) and simply allow the powers that be to run things amok.
We feel helpless to do anything about it.

That is the position we find ourselves in today.
Helpless?
ARE WE REALLY!

We wonder why there are so many people who malign Sarah Palin?
She is a threat!
Yes it is as SIMPLE as that!
She is a threat to the “good ole boy” system and those who profit from it.
She is maligned by women who are threatened that she “IS” all that they themselves would like to become.

She is not the only threat however there are others.
Bobby Jindal, Tim Pawlenty. Charlie Crist to name a few.
Sarah for the moment (at least) has the spotlight. More power to her. More power to all of them willing to forge change together and while they are at it grabbing EVERYONE on the other side of the fence to join in.

We the people have been divided by the radicals that abound on both sides of the fence.
We have become numb to the bickering and fighting because it no longer means anything.
We have watched people with a great common sense approach become so popular they loose site of their true purpose.
They become so consumed by their own popularity that they have become a detriment to “we the people”.

Much of our population has turned into a hand out society.
“Give me ice cream! I don’t care who must feed the cow.”
When does it sink in we ALL OWN the cow and are responsible to feed her EQUALLY.
That means “we the people”  … if I pay 10% then so does EVERYONE else.
No loop holes, no special dispensations no NOTHING.
Why are “we the people” not insisting on this?

It does not take rocket science to realize the cream always rises to the top of the bucket.
Incentive and the will to be the best you can be made this country as great as it still is.
ALL success comes from hard work initiated by someone or a group of someone’s.

So I guess it’s left again to “we the people” … what are WE going to do?
There are brilliant minds out there young and old. Why not ban together and really put “power of the people” to work. While we are at it why not include those who were once our allies.
Today we need to stop TOLERATING bad behavior. Pushing a sign out of the hand of an old woman (for any reason) is neither tolerable or acceptable.
Why are we the people doing nothing about this bad behavior?
This is not a freedom of speech issue it is simply bad behavior on the part of some unruly thugs and should be handled as such.

We are at a crossroads. It does not take a sledge hammer beside the head to realize this country is in economic crisis.
We were lead here by ALL of those in government.
The question NOW is can it get fixed … if so how?

With this election THE MAJORITY spoke.
Barack Obama was handed EVERY opportunity to BECOME a GREAT MAN.
Will he have what it takes to do just that is the question?
Only time will tell.

Meanwhile what do “we the people” do?
Go back to “self” business as usual?
Let another fox guard the henhouse?

I suggest that is not a good idea.
I suggest it is probably time to reach across the isle and listen to the eclectic middle ground and really see what they think and stand for in life.
